We all know how you don't like to pay much for things, but hope thats a different GT1752s to the one you just sold on here asking for 'just the £125 you paid for it' ...

yeah I had bought two...I bought a cheap one which was unknown millage etc and sold it, and bought the expensive one...and sold it...but lost money on that one...didnt want that one to be a black spot on my cheap turbo history!

and it was sold on ebay in the end

and who DOES like to pay a lot for things?! Huh
Managed to get some use out of the 11mm pump...thanks to all for help there....not getting the psi I want...but some more adjustment to come...

got this in post today...

another little bargain. Unused genuine pug/valeo for £63posted

and here is my new donor car....

yay!

Bosched and with mot/tax....you can see the worst side...sill, and rear quarter panel needs fixing/painting. and a new drivers door.
Bump strips be painted too so that will sort front bumper...but all good otherwise.
Great shell to strip, prep, derust, underseal and drop the 2.1 in.

Its the new sleeper
Pic of clutch fine but no pic of car.......................
pic fail
oh...weird...will try and fix....dropbox SUCKS

works on me PC but not mobile?!

but here it is again:

to be nice to it, this pic is of its worst side!!!
The other side is pristine.
This side will be too with a new door, fixed/painted front bumper and repaired rear quarter
Ooh i like that, black and cossack just works
speedlines will be going but I may paint the steelloys to shine them up...not sure yet

think it will look quite sweet as a sleeper
Brand new steelies do look rather good, I've grown rather fond of the berlingo steels on the sedan
hmmmmmmmmmmmm....shall see.....may end up doing a pellowe......getting a random can of acrylic and going mad....see how well the engine fits first
okay...some progress made...
sold the turbo, hopefully sold the alloys, sold the pump and injectors...almost broke even now!

this is how its looking...

found couple issues....one that the n/s wishbone bolts are all lose
...and I have one rear inner arch that need a patch done and the f/o/s chassis leg, right at the front needs patching and welding.

But underside is untouched and no holes...couple places need just some tlc.

but all the liners will be removed, all crap taken away and all undersealed so all in good time...gota welder coming too!

hit another issue....

this...

dont fit....not too big...just doesnt sit anywhere at the front where you can even cut away to fit the pipes....

and the front bumper is mashed inside....

so new wanted list:

GTi ARB
Ph1 front bumper...may aswell have a foggy one
intercooler...as long as its a decent size and fits...I'll have it!

PS REALLY WANT THE ENGINE AND BOX GONE...NOW IN THE WAY...OFFERS!
picked up some half leather seats...well happy...all four seats and door cards, £50. bolster ok, need tiny bit of work.

AND A MAJOR CLEAN! lol

I really like the chequerplate...dont seem as common as the leaf etc
I prefer them to leaf pattern, wanna swap lol
nope!
update...

I got a 2.1 not finished coz I been so fricking ill and need to get it finished...

I got the cossack grey one which is being held up coz no one wants to buy me fricking XUD9t engine...

and now my greenmachine HG has blown...so now I guna break my back rebuilding an engine I didnt wana rebuild coz I be scrapping it soon!

nothing obvious...just all bit old....

dont think this was helping though.....very, very close to failure

and this happened...not my week...

time and money I didnt want to have to spend...any energy and back I have I wana spend on the 2.1

Sad Sad Sad Sad
so it was the headgasket then?

have you had the head off this engine before? looks pretty tidy
head was done at 80k...just before I bought it.
so 62k of abuse...it aint bad

yeah there was still a ton of pressure in the system this morning!
Well head is ready to go back on....waiting on parts...paid for next day delivery...and guess what.....

they didnt arrive. GITS!
woop woop

she lives...man Im knackered...but its running again.

get out in the snow tomorrow to retune it as I have a feeling it wasnt running well for a while
change anything else while the head was off?

skip is going tomorrow so out came the smelly old seats....

although I found what I feared...

think that may need sorting.
The o/s is mint...but still has the inner arch liner, the n/s is missing its arch liner...hence the whole!

Can you buy replacement weld in panel for those sections or is it buy sheet metal and bend and shape to fit?!
I had exactly the same problem, was a massive hole as well. Just bent metal to fit, then used 5mm thick steel for the seatbelt bolt bit, broke 4 drill bits trying to drill through it.
oooh nasty
the solid area for the seatbelt mount is fine...
its just superficial...I got a welder so no biggy...

want a arch liner now tho!!
