Ooooh that doesn't look good!

Nah, hot side destroyed. Bearings dead too..guessing it didn't like the probe or 40psi.
Yeah, fully rebuilt, billet comp wheel, balanced etc
:-(
Crikey, bad luck.
I'm a bit gutted. Lot of money right there.
Yeah, I can imagine.
What's next then, are you gonna try another turbo or changing engines/cars now?
I do have a spare one, just bogo standard gtb20.
Need it on the road
I've a spare gti6 engine if you want to stop dicking about with these diesels
If that's the Kinguwa turbo billet compressor then the VW boys reckon the standard cast one is actually better, all the billet one does is make it surge earlier.
A few important lessons learnt i guess, onwards and upwards.

Good info that...
I mean its from the VW boys...but it does have a tendency to surge, so may explain that, thanks

Losing the love a bit tbh.
Think i'll shove the spare on n fit couple bits I've had sitting in boxes n focus on my other projects.
Really has made me rather gutted tbh.
Piggy if you give up on this i'm gonna come over there and shove a boosted TU5J4 motor up your arse
hmmm familiar sight - that'll be my gt2256v on the left, had no idea it was even like this until I pulled it off and stripped it as a complete unit it looked fine.
Got off lightly tbh, I know it is a kick in the balls, but just get another standard turbo on and it'll be 99% back to how it should be.

Flip...
In that case...me n diesels are OVER.
When should i expect delivery of said boost please?

Thanks man.
Just fitting replacement egt probe after fitting replacement blower...about to go test drive
She is running again, healthier.
Still overboosting like mad...Ruan arduino tuning session needed me thinks

What has changed since Combe with the arduino? Was working fine then.
Shouldn't be too hard to fault find yourself, you can fire up laptop and run through some diag / make sure actuator is responding as requested, tps is working, map sensor ...etc
It's not massively complex and you've been running it for a whole now
Its the PID me thinks.
But for some reason I cant change the values

+1 it would of probably worked out cheaper and more reliable aswell

Piggy would never drop a perv in i don't think. But if he could do so with that turbo (well a healthy version) fitted, id be impressed.

Yes it would be cheaper to setup.
I can't see how more reliable...this actually hasnt ever broken down or failed to start.
Also... What point would that prove? Oh look I have a gti with nice rims... Yawn.
I want the challenge tbh
then fit a ls motor blown or not stef will always polish your shoes
Too true...
It DID break down twice...coz i was being a right numpty with the oil lines!

I've banged the other blower on it.
It's filthy and being used as a van
I can video me using it as a van/tow machine if you wish?
Oh and it starts on 2, then gets to 3 and then fires on all.
Sounds beefy on 3 cly
