or just gel battery lol

tbh, just leave it in the engine bay, if you were that worried about weight you'd have less doors.

thought 5doors weighed less than 3 door cars.

How on earth would they? No door frame, winder mechanism, lock and handle.

The weight isn't in a bad place though, help balance out the supertanker anchor under the bonnet hehe
The lightest 306 on book figures is a 5door.

I have a gearbox mounted turbo.

yeah that's what i thought James, wasn't trolling Adam Big Grin
Yeah i duno why either... But tiz true going by the figures
5 door pov spec 1.4 though? Not sure they made any pov 3 doors with a small engine?

Be interested to know equivalents though, so if a HDi DTurbo 5dr is lighter than a HDi DTurbo 3dr...

Yeah, I duno tbh, unlikely that a same spec 5dr is lighter...
But then my rear doors arent exactly heavy anymore lol
So the NGK plugs lasted a year...
So I put Bosch ones in as two had died...
Year later again...
Ordered Denso now as the Bosch have died, well at least two have.... Was that or Beru. But I have had Beru die on the 1.9 too quite quick
bosch standard or duraterm?

set of 4 duraterms £17 delivered - cheap as chips >

Nah was the duraterms. Yeah I paid about that too.

But should last more than a year!?
Dunno, given the fuel / heat going past them compared to stock a year don't sound so bad. What's the service interval meant to be? 30k?
Beru are usually standard aren't they? Or is it only HDi's where they're standard? Can't say I've had any issues with them on HDi's, the originals in the Focus were also Beru and lasted 7.5 years/60k.
Beru have always lasted years for me Smile
There's a big difference in lasting years in a stock xud vs a 200hp xud...the temps / abuse these plugs are subjected to is fairly extreme!
yep, I think 10 years on a set of beru plugs in a mild tweaked xud, probably last s lot longee if it was a Di engine.

Heh although you wouldnt need them in the first place in a DI engine in this country!
Don't need them to start but they are on a lot of the time for emmisions, I was surprised how long they're on even in summer. I guess its not the length of time they're on but more the cylinder temps that kills them quickly in a tuned xud?
XUD remember the injector literally sprays the cone half at the glow plug in the pre-chamber... It's no wonder they get trashed with high power!

yeah no doubt, mine are never stock but not big power, the plugs have been in 135-160bhp engines . . .Smile

Agree'd haha. lol
The car likes stickers almost as much as your missus right.

Come on, hurry up with part 2.
Hell your vids are cheesy.
How uninformative.
We have been waiting for these videos for a while and you give us half a session.

I'm the last man on this forum who wants to see you given any more bullshit, the crap in this thread is mostly online bullying, just expected more information about how and why the car performed /underperformed.
It took me till VERY late last night to sort through about 8hours of footage to get this much... Then it took till 8am this morning to upload it...
I have to balance how long it takes to go through this much footage and how long it takes to upload before youtube gives up on me.
Part 2 next week

Promise, more info next week too

My favorite bit is at the end when you're driving.
Constructive criticism:

Too much umming and ahhing by yourself in the videos?
