At the stage of putting parts on as they arrive now :-)

60mm springs
[attachment=14682]

Aero wipers because the old ones weren't really doing much plus they look better so win win :-)
[attachment=14683]

Then some badges fell off :-P
[attachment=14684]

Cant wait to start cleaning up the engine , rallye aux belt setup to go on soon and a set of cam covers to get powder coated :-)

[attachment=14685]
Looking good mate! I have cam covers, air intake and possibly Alan panel to go in for powder coat, will go nicely with my strut brace.
Alan panel lol

red wrinkle cam covers ftw Smile
Few more bits added to the parts haul ready to go on

Massive thanks to Matt-Rallye for being a top guy and selling me a lovely stainless exhaust. Got a full system to replace the rotten original. Looks to be a supersprint like I have on my rallye so I'm pretty keen for that

Nice big bag of parts from the motor factors
[attachment=14817]

was too busy this weekend to get the beam swapped so there's still that to do :-\

Waiting for my new engine oil, gear oil, sparkplugs and Wishbones to arrive then she's good to go :-D
Not long until you can rag it mate Smile
Just as bad as my parts piling up. :-) cant wait to see this properly. :-) my dad also has a nile '6 now as well. :-)

Yep hence replacing lol
I'd best nick some bin lids then lmao
Just new gear oil left to arrive now, other than that I think I have everything to put her on the road :-)

Can start adding shinies once the basic running is sorted

Been a busy boy of late with your debit card lol
Went to change the Wishbones over since I finally had an evening to myself

Which went well.......

No mention of the axe.. lol

Blimey you're up early
We had major problems with wish bones. Mainly due to the fact that the parts shop kept sending us 18mm ball joints and not 16mm after about 4 attempts to the car shop eventually they delivered the right ones to us.
Woops
After having zero time for doing any of my own cars after pratting about with other people's cars for the last couple of weeks, I've closed my workshop doors to other people so I have time to concentrate on my own projects and get the gti6 roadworthy for show season :-)

Finally have all of my service parts for the '6, got my panel beater mate coming over next week to sort the dented wing as I can't find another nile blue 306 the same shade as mine :-\

This also means I'll need to repaint the front bumper as it's got a scuff that really bugs me

Been collecting little bits and pieces to colour code in the interior

Still after some ph3 rubstrips

Rallye aux setup to sort at some point

Also got a Magnex on the way :-D

Pictures coming tomorrow when the new beam is on :-)

[attachment=15546]
That exhaust looks awesome Smile
Magnex should be with you next week Smile looks good mate
Busy day today, finally got a day to work on my own car lol

Matt-Rallye came over to lend a hand with the beam removal and general 306 related shenanigans :-)
Thanks a million dude :-)

Anyway few pics of today,

Just caught a couple of patches of surface rust starting, so the boot floor has been wire brushed and red oxide primered and left to dry overnight.

Will paint and underseal tomorrow then get the new beam back on :-)

Also saved the spare wheel carrier and brake Shields from rust with the wire brush and paint :-)
Looking good fellas Smile. When did you finish that, how long after I left did you get the beam off?

Go Monmouth way because it's quicker, he said... I was stuck in traffic for 30 mins before I got to Monmouth lmao
Ahaaa, still better than sitting in traffic on the m5 though :-P

Got the beam off and floor done in a nice relaxed 3 hours or so
Good choice with magnex,love mine Big Grin

Be nude not to decat it....

Not bad going Smile
Lots of nice servicing bits there...should make a good difference!
Few more bits done this afternoon, again with matts expert hand at rust prevention :-)

Boot floor fully repainted and undersealed :-D
[attachment=15582]

And made a start at decreasing the underside from years of grime [attachment=15583]

Left the underseal to set overnight and then beam back on tomorrow :-)
Finally finished the beam change today. Nice way to spend a bank holiday in the sun :-)

New brake lines, mintex pads and discs plus Baker bm solid mounts to compliment the nicely preserved boot floor
Looks good, have fun with the break lines?

Luckily whoever last had them off were courteous enough to use copper grease so all came apart lovely :-)
Copper grease is king Smile
Shame you couldnt have painted up the beam...seems real shame against new brakes and clean boot floor!
I can't see mine, and it bugs me!
