Can't wait to get me secret winter build started now..

Ooooooooooo what you upto :p another boosted track car??
Anyone else had problems with very stiff lowered cars eating through track rod ends?

My n/s one has deteriorated pretty quickly, only done about 600 miles.

Replacing both of them tonight and see if it was just a one off incident
They are utter porn! Will look even better in the bay

All my pugs have been slammed and only issue I had was ruining drop links went through 3 sets in 1500 miles so f*cked them off and ran without and the odd p bush never had issues with track rod ends though
Why not get some adjustable drop links? They'll have paid for themselves instead of a couple of pairs of stock droplinks
Didnt Ozone say tre not droplinks?!
Think he may have been referring to me?

It was slammed on 40 profile tyres on stiff suspention so there was no body roll anyway just sacked them off
Hopefully it was just a dodgy part, the other side was fine (changed it anyway)

Get it tracked properly again tomorrow and see how long this one lasts

I have noticed the droplinks are wearing out pretty quickly, anyone recommend some decent adjustable ones?
Yeah my bad, skim read and saw danny's comment re: drop links.
I'm low and don't have problems with wearing out either. my problem has always been drive shafts.

What happens to yours?
All the bushes and parts we replaced on the rallye 3 months ago are worn out again lol

Driveshafts eat cv joints on lowered cars usually due too the increased running angle
yep, CVs. It seems to wear the boots out especially fast because of the increased running angle and they split and spray grease everywhere and die.

I was forever changing shafts on all my saxos and 106's. Lowered lifestyle problems bruh!
Lol, well I've gone through one cv boot so far, caught it when it was a tiny pinhole though so didn't lose much grease.... See how long it lasts aha
about the throttle bodies... I think you'll struggle to find ANYONE who will touch the stock marelli ECU and be able to map it for bodies, except Chip Wizards up here.

That said, I have a perfectly good spare room, bacon and I'm 35 mins from Chip Wizards HQ....

I thought that might be the case dude, and tbf I think for what Wayne charges it only makes sense.

Just need to save up a few hundred quid for mapping then I'll be in touch Smile
New track rod ends fitted and laser alignment done. Hopefully last longer than 600 miles this time

In other news I've got a mysterious suspension knock :/ have a feeling it's a droplink.

Will try some ph1 style metal ones, see how they fare
I'd love to see this car in the flesh, it looks epic mate!

Shame man Sad hopefully the car will be bodied when you do get to see it though haha
Decided to do a couple of bits in preparation for pugfest tonight after work.

So bumper off [Image: 20140709_183851_zpst2hs0lrr.jpg]

No picture because it's boring, but basically did some more rust prevention on the inner wings and crossmember

Anyway, reason for replacing the bumper [Image: 20140709_183859_zpsjtagahom.jpg]

Swapping over rallye blanks, numberplate and gti splitter [Image: 20140709_190515_zpsjpzkxvfh.jpg]

And all done [Image: IMG_20140709_215655_zps4cijbfdy.jpg]

Looking good Zakk, Did those marks come out?
The metal links was the ones I had issues with broke the ball joint out the socket on 3 pairs lol

Was going to try plastic as they have a bit of give but just f*cked it off and ran no links

Looking well mate get them bodies on :p
Ozone where the bodies off eBay? I remember some guy selling some off a high spec 205 iirc

Metal ones are doing well so far and a few quid cheaper than plastic so I'm happy with them until I get some rose jointed ones Smile

Nooo, this set were out of jonny b's garage, been in there for years! Haha
Is this being hooned up the hill at pugfest?

Really is a tidy example and that your keeping it that way.

Still think you should finish the DT though Tongue

PS. jealous of your ramp.
