		Sounds like a air leak mate spray some carb cleaner or something allong them lines where the gaskets are are if the revs pick up that's where the leak is

		Assume that hose popped out of the rad?
The way the hose is fixed into the rad is shite really!
The idle will be a air leak somewhere or a very very sticky ICV although even if the plunger was fully open, i don't think it would rev up to 3k. Also check your TPS.
