Right I'm a bit stumped by this one. Fitted newish wishbones (known good ones from my previous car) had tracking done, wheels balanced and yet it still pulls to the right.
 Any ideas?

Nope. Been doing it for a while. Thought it might of been due to the ram but fitting the new one hasn't fixed it

Mine is also doing this, only when breaking. Think it's due a break imbalance/crappy droplinks

Was the tracking actually done, or did they just tell you they had? because to me that sounds like either a soft tyre on the front right or the tracking, if they had done the tracking properly everything should be straight and correct so it can't really be related to suspension components being out of line!
Just another thought, the bottom of your hub isn't ovalled out is it allowing the ball joint to move around?

		I agree with Scott, it's just f*cked.
Having said that, since changing the wishbones on my '6, I know get a loud clunking noise below the driver's side footwell well pulling off and sometimes breaking.

 Stupid french cars!

I have that sound when I reserve quicky or let off quickly after accelerating.
I would have said bad tracking to be fair.

Haven't checked tyre pressures (miss simplest of things eh?)Tracking was definitely done. I watched him do it and saw the end result and it was fine.
Rear beam is the original gti one with new standard mounts.
Fitted new wishbones and I'm 99% sure the hub was fine. There was no play at all.

Not that I'm aware of Tom. Front calipers are fine and rears are shot but I'm positive there not binding.

swap the 2 front wheels from side to side (left with right)

once a tyre has started conical wearing , no matter who/how/when you check the tracking it will still pull over.

by putting tyres onto opposite sides of the axle, it will counteract the wear and drive straight.

I need to swap my fronts over. I keep having the tracking donebut its soooo annoying having to stop your car drifting onto the other side of the road. No usual tracking induced tyre wear either. :/

Great idea but t1rs are directional tyres so they will be spinning the wrong way....I think. Too much strongbow to think about it!

if the tyres are directional , you will have to swap the tyre off the rim then
or swap front to rear on the same side ?

This. Unfortunately, if this doesn't fix it, then you should be looking for crash damage around the chassis.

Have you tried changing the top mounts on the front struts? mines pulling to the right so much it hurts my arm on long journeys, and i know for a fact the drivers side top mount bearing is falling apart.
Just another thing on the to do list

Right top mounts have only done about 10k, same as wishbones but there on their way out. I still reckon it could be that my beam isnt aligned but will straighten it up tomorrow and see.
