yea when last owner said modded pump he may just mean he did the screws like boost comp and that

David I think your problem is that when they were setting it up on the dyno to start with they have hit the button to set up the revs so maybe they put it as being at 2k when it was actually at 2 and a half and this has compressed your power curve but because bhp is a calculatione of measured torque from the wheels divided by revs if the revs are wrong then the answer is wrong.
What is your torque figure and is that what you expected.
What cars is yours even with in a race and what power do they make.
Where is peak power when your driving on

Hmm, you'd notice if the power dropped that early tbh.
The thing is though, no dyno is ever 100% accurate, but after a result like yours David I'd want another one done. There's apparently a good place in mendlesham (not far from the ram pub) which is supposed to he realky good and local. I was having a paid-for run there to prove the map on my old car (the mapper was paying) but unfortunately it shit itself a week before!

My dyno reading is on the last page mate, I would of been happy with 160hp

Just realised, my graph says 306 GTI, I hope it wasn't run on GTI calibrations because it will be well off, surely?

davids graph looks suspect to me...
that td04 should keep it going to 4.5k easy surely?!

It's like the timing is too retarded, but they advanced it and this is the run after that.
03-02-2013, 01:03 AM
Yeah its either too advanced or retarded and the diesel is being injected way after tdc and igniting whilst the exhaust valves are open :/ I thought he said it drove well? lol
03-02-2013, 01:20 AM
Something definitely not right somewhere with that place.. Although i don't see why some results seem about right and others completely out..
03-02-2013, 03:31 AM
I reckon some cars were run on V power and some was running on hopes and dreams like davids
03-02-2013, 08:29 AM
I dont mean to be on their side...but perhaps the results are not far off...going by some of the other cars...
Just because it has a td04 and pump mods, doesnt always mean it will give the same results as another XUD with those mods.
Did anyone manage to check the belt timing?!
and David...whats your mpgs like??

I think a lot of it seems to be they just don't know how to dyno these tuned dervs! All the petrol results don't seem to bad! But they will be more forgiving on the rr
