I'm an automotive engineer testing various and all types of vehicles at high speed and for durability purposes until they break/explode/die/fall to bits/shed parts everywhere. Big Grin

Before that I designed hydraulic test-rigs and used them to test various vehicle systems and components.

Basically I f*ck shit up for a living.

Structural engineer, design the connections and members that make up multi story steel buildings. Also recently been involved with the fire design aspects to make sure that if the building does catch fire the members retain their strength long enough for people to get out.

Been involved with Kingdom street, st James market and London wall place in case any of the london lot are fans of construction lol In fact about 30% of london wall is based on my designs which is satisfying and kind of makes up for the tedious work it's been

The good bits are really good but it can also be quite stressful and dealing with a lot of customers (always a problem) with loads of really tight deadlines etc. and things spontaneously going wrong etc.

Overall it's decent though. I'm changing roles again soon.

Which market?

I'm currently a delivery driver for a luxury fashion retailer as part of their Premier team. Basically drive a van within the M25 all day taking very expensive stuff to very nice places for rich people. Today for example, despite the tube strike, I was sitting in a park eating donuts waiting for the time slot to open so I could do my first job, pretty happy with that.

Still working out what I want to do properly though.

When i'm not in the office doing admin, web and image work i'm out delivering and collecting cars using a DMax (hateful thing) and a Brian James Race Trans 6. Some are fairly expensive, most aren't (in the grand scheme of things). I only do it about 60% of the time but looking at about 45k miles this year. Yawn. Its for a fairly well-known local car tuning company.

Kind of miss being my own boss and doing the vinyl work though Sad

However my bucket list of driven cars (mostly about 100 yards lol) is getting there. LFA, F40, Z28 2014, Veyron, 458 speciale etc etc Big Grin
