Here is my 1989 peugeot 309 1.9 na. I have owned for over a year now but think it's time to make some changes. Recently fitted coilovers and a pre lowered rear beam and some capri alloys

Also had a sump guard fabricated so can lower the front down more without damaging the important stuff.
I bought a 306 d turbo and removed engine/ gearbox and a few other bits from it then scrapped what was left.

I have now started work on the 306 engine. I am going to replace headgasket, cambelt kit and clutch before putting in the car. I am also wanted to change the lucas pump for a bosch setup and possibly fit xantia manifold for a front mount intercooler. Just trying to source some parts drop me a message if you have anything that might be help ful

Get rid of that restrictive air intake too, if u want an oem option rob the pipes off a 405 xud 1.9  love the 309's btw, good move swapping the block

Looks a goodun. Nice colour as well...first car was a 205 with the same colour and pinstripe down the side.
Paint the block....everyone knows the paint keeps it together.

if its red you will be able to see oil leaks a lot more easier than if its black!

Not me. Never was a fan of it. Base spec 1.3 with wallowy suspension ain't my bag baby.

Notches are on the flywheel end of the hg, count them. Though tbf they vary in such a small amount of thickness it doesn't massively matter.
Based on piston protrusion from the deck, not affected by having the head skimmed

If that is the sort of threaded bar you buy at diy places it is not suitable for wheel studs.
Far too soft and no shoulder for the wheel.
