Exactly,

I've met most of you at some point and you're all decent people.

The trust we all put in each other is scary sometimes, but to be able to say that we've got a group of friends that we met through a car forum, however gay it may sound... is pretty decent IMO.
+1 apart from xmas meet as i can't go as working lol

Exactly. Sam keeps putting statuses on facebook saying things like "hanging out with a bunch of dudes i met on the internet, now my arse hurts" and i think it sounds so sad but in a way its true. Have made some great friends on here. Even if one of them is a Geordie!

I also agree, no other forums even come close!!
I've made one or two car fwends from dubgen, mkiv's and 106oc - but looking through my FB friends list half of them are OC'ers! Plus, without .net/OC I would never have had the china 1.4, the 106 or the estate! Also, you guys can be really helpful and supportive when necessary....and also have epic banter as well, honestly I've never been on another forum this good....and doubt I ever will!

I've owned a g reg polo, mondeo, mk3 Astra, mk4 Astra a corsa, 1.4 306 and of course my hdi.
Out of all them cars the 306 was just the best without a doubt! Yeah ok my 1.4 head gasket went but I was still driving 2 months without a repair. Then the hdi was amazing corners was superb. My ex always asked me why can't we have a nice slow ride home from cinema. So I let her drive home from cinema and she really couldn't help her self.
306s are amazing looking cars they still put a lot of cars to shame! The engines are easy to work on... As long as they start after .
They're really reliable my hdi had never let me down if anything was me letting it down running out of money.
But I've driven many different kind of cars but neither of them are as fun as the 306!!!
Plus I never had a electric problem with my hdi. I was a lucky one

Except the comment about them not looking very good I agree with all of you!

Epic little cars.

When asked what the first thing I'd do if I won the lottery was and my response of:

"Pay Peugoet to make me a custom 12 plate 306"

Was met with many a strange stare... And a few WTF's!

It was me. I just find the 306 front end looks quite dated now, but so do most older pugs tbh, ph3 hatch rear is still awesome though.

That said, China ph3 with a few subtle mods still looks epic imo....but there are better looking cars, although not in the same price bracket.

I haven't been as involved in meets and stuff as most, but I did spend a weekend with Samass (without being bummed!!) and have done FCS twice and a couple other meets, and I can genuinely say that nobody I've met is a lady garden. Shocking I know.

Oh and people who don't 'get' 306's, you can buy a tidy HDi, remap and lower it for like £1500, and it'll do 30-70 in 7 seconds (IIRC) with 125-135bhp, and do 70+MPG, how can anyone argue with that?! And that's not even mentioning the handling.
