The actual plugs on the back of the loom for Base model clocks aren't compatible with the stdt clocks.
I've just done the same conversion myself a few weeks back.
I've been messing around with 205's for bloody ages, if you need any bits or advice just ask. Got loads of parts lying about

I also have a sensor with a brown plug somewhere which I think is the one that will plug into my loom / was plugged in before
