Your rear set up is the same. As above your MC is probably also the same so when you switch to the larger GTI fronts then you will get a slight increase in pedal stroke.
the 266 brakes are pretty good tbh as long as you stick with decent pads. But I do have the GTI setup on mine and really does feel like it wants to stand on it's nose.
I use Pagid discs and pads from eurocarparts. Sign up for their mailing list as they often have very good discounts. As for brake fluid just stick with Dot 4. Don't switch to silicone based stuff.
Also get some pagid (or mintex) brake assembly grease (mintex sell it as Ceratec, can't remember the Pagid name but it's the same stuff). It's only a few £ and is much better for your brakes than copper slip.
