been quiet on this for a few days due to work.
today i have been wiring up the low current control side and fitting the throttle controller............

then realised it was posible to power it up for the first time
and to say im impressed is an understatement ive got a smile like a cheshire cat!

everything worked just how it should have
i recon the speed estimate could be off but i think some different sprockets should sort that as there is loads of torque

lol your all waiting for the accident photos!
there is a video uploading at the moment but the kart was powered up on stands in the garage.
It will be a little time yet before first drive as i need to add some safety bits like battery straps, battery sheilds and a grab kill switch in case of runaways

oh i so want to drive this it looks so impresive on the stands, the gearing will have to be changed cause i think the motor is slower than i thought,
but if its slower theres more torque so i can gear it up..but not till ive driven it as is

Have you thought of getting a load of smaller high current lipos and making a big cell out of them? Theresa a forum which I can't remember the name of right now which has done the same as you with loads of smaller lipos and it worked well

that camera is crap as its my stills camera set to video mode
also remember there is no suspension so the ride is hard and rough as the roads are quite rough not like most karting circuits

lipos mmmmm
the next option would be to over volt the motor that would give it a better snap response and higher rpms
but that would mean a different speed controller and as you say higher voltage battery's

I'm going to play with the gearing first see if i can hit 35mph lets break a speed limit

we upped the gearing today and gotso close to doing the speed limit
 sat nav logged 28mph

wouldnt let my son drive down the hill in the estate thats my job maybe next week when its a little quieter
