How can I return the pump to standard position? I have no idea what fueling it's at etc so would really like to be able to set it up properly
What amount of thread is visible at a standard on the fuel screw?

doesn't make any sense mate . . . . .all you need to know is how much psi your turbo is making and whether it's burning clean on full chat or not, all the other bits are fine tuning . .x

I must have made a hash up of some info somewhere. Sure I read somewhere 1/2 to 1 full turn of the screw if good. And the turn the turbo up. Add fuel till it coals, then back it off?

Wastegate, then fuel. Think of it like saturating the air you produce with fuel. You can hit 20psi fine, but without much fuel. Then just turn the fuel up until you get a slight haze on boost. You'll still be making 20psi just with more fuel and therefore more powaaah.
Think you're thinking of the ol' "stage 1" style tune like on Darren's video, when people played it safe by counting turns etc. Counting turns gives you a good rough idea of what's going on but the best way to do it is turn some screws and get driving.

Haha yeah I have no confidence with this engine I know in theory what I need to do so need someone with me to tell me I haven't broke it

I can kinda sympathise with you matt, even though I'm still only using the crappy lucas pump. I'm pretty sure the waste gate on mine is giving up, as i seem to be lacking the boost it used to have, added to the fact that the old girl does seem to smoke quite a bit on full chat now.

Mine smokes a lot, Samass turned the turbo up, but then told me after he can't remember which way he turned it lol, so I'm gunna turn the turbo up and fuel etc and see what happens, give it a service and crack on!
I just need someone to watch me, and help when I adjust the hot/cold idle and try and sort my throttle cable. Need a girl with me too as my hands are too huge to fit most places in the engine bay haha
