In 2017 the club enjoyed a good turn out at French Car Show with an interesting location for the club stand in amongst the trade. Although initially thought an issue it was actually a great location so thanks for the PFC team for arranging that. The turnout at pugfest was down on previous years but is as good as always. Next year is the anniversary of the Rallye so should see some increased numbers and a fantastic rallye parade!

We have seen a steady number of people moving on from the 306 as a daily whether into different marques or onto newer french cars. This is a continuation of the trend we have seen in recent years. The number of 306 track cars remain steady. There is little development in terms of new products or modifications for the cars as manufacturers move away from "unpopular" cheap cars and onto more in the moment current cars.

Staffing has had no changes however this will be reviewed in 2018 to make sure we have the most active and responsible team we can have. Thanks to those who have made the events possible and those who continue to moderate the forum and facebook group as part of their daily life.

There has been some discussion as to the future of the club and with the demise of the theywhoshallnotbenamed forum questions have been raised about this forum. We have no intention of taking down the forum and the wealth of knowledge it holds. We are continuing to contact theywhoshallnotbenamed to see if we can get hold of their database in order to recover its contents. Facebook may be where the chat is but the knowledge will remain on here.

This year we are going to Coventry and staying in its finest Premier Inn, surrounded by bowling and restaurants and a car park large enough to take almost all our club members.

In 2016 the club enjoyed a good turnout at FCS and Pugfest reinforced with smaller groups attending the likes of castle combe action days, Ace Cafe Day and PFC Expo. The christmas meet a few weeks ago was well attended and enjoyable as always. It has been great to see both new members and ones we know too well having some quality banter all huddled around the burning bin. Id like to thank all of you for making this year what it has been and hope that everyone will continue to be enthusiastic throughout 2017. We are already booked in for FCS and Pugfest but apart from the usual we hope to see more local meets and hopefully a club lake district meet in the first half of this year.

We have seen a increasing number of members go on track with their cars whilst fewer members seem to be going down the stance route. The 306 is essentially at an all time low in affordability however we are already seeing parts such as panels and decent interiors becoming harder to find. The top models such as the gti6 and rallye are on the turn upwards and we have seen some great restoration projects on the forum. The other models should start to follow the trend shortly.

We have had a turnover in staff in the later part of this year so Id like to thank those who have been staff for all that they have done and thank the new staff for what they have already done and what they will undoubtedly do in this coming year. The role of moderators is to help organise events and moderate the forum however they arent the only people who can do this. If anyone is interested in getting involved with helping organise events please let me know. Its your club and we require your input!

The forum has always been free to use and it is our intention to keep it so. We rely entirely on donations for both the running of the servers and the club kit we have at events. For the coming show season we need to purchase a few things including replacing the club marquee. The existing club flags and banners are being redistributed to different members and locations around the country so that there will always be half the kit at any show. We dont ask regularly but a donations thread will open a few months before show season kicks off. We currently have club calendars and stickers available so please show your support by grabbing some of these.

Christmas is long gone and you're probably getting sick of the dull winter weather which can only mean one thing. Show season is rapidly approaching.
As per usual there will be plenty of shows on this year dotted all up and down the country and we will be trying to attend as many as possible as a club. The mains shows for us though are FCS and Pugfest and i would love to see such a huge turn out as we have had in previous years.

Pugfest - Sunday 10th July
Anyone who has attended Pugfest before will know that it is a no nonsense, petrol heads dream. Set at Prescott Hill climb in Cheltenham, its a great opportunity to see some pretty special cars from all walks of Peugeot's history. The hill climb is brilliant fun for anyone in any car and a great way to see what your car can do.
This year is a bit special for us at Pugfest being a 306 club. To mark the 15th anniversary of the end of production of the 306 GTi, there will be a 306 GTi-6 cavalcade at lunch time up the hill climb.
As per usual there will be camping on site on the Saturday night which is a great excuse to meet up with old friends and make some new ones. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and the organisers put on some childish games to make things just that little bit more interesting.
Tickets are not on sale yet but we will let you know as soon as we hear from PSCUK. We are unsure of ticket prices currently but i would imagine they will be the same or similar to last year. £20 for a camping and entrance ticket and £6 per hill run. We recommend booking your hill runs in advance with your ticket. They are available on the day but very quickly sell out.

French Car show - Saturday 4th - Sunday 5th June
FCS is back at Castle Combe, Wiltshire this year for a weekend of fun. As per previous years there will be plenty of entertainment as well as track time and competitions. We will be camping on site again for the Friday and Saturday nights which is great fun and a good excuse to have one too many beers and a overcooked BBQ.
As normal the club will have a stand and tickets are on sale Here now. Remember to put "306oc" down as your chosen club when you book so you get a car pass for the correct area.

As we approach the last big show of the year (End of season expo), the nights are drawing in and that means one thing. The Christmas meet is rapidly approaching!
We have decided to keep the location the same as last year at the Premier Inn in Barnwood, Gloucester. We hope the weekend is as great as it has been every year so far with plenty of members turning up, plenty of laughs had and probably one to many drinks drunk. For more information on the meet, you can view the thread here. We would love to see you join us!
As per last year, we will also be doing forum awards. These range from serious awards such as most progressed project of the year through to silly awards such as most ankles broken in a year (i think we all know who will win that one
Unlike last year though, we will be putting the vote out to you guys as to who will win! We will have small awards for the overall winners and hopefully have some prizes to give away as well.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
General overview of the event is that its a nice and small event with some quality cars on the inside of the exhibition centre. Food last year was pretty poor and over priced so may be good to bring your own snacks for the day. You can easily be in and out of the event in a few hours but its the club banter as usual that makes it a full day. I think most of us were there by 10 and headed off by 3 last year.

With FCS rapidly becoming a distant memory, we can look forward to the next show of the year, Pugfest!
As per usual, Pugfest is held at Prescott hill climb circuit in Cheltenham. The show day is Sunday 12th July with camping on site the night before. For anyone who hasn't been to the show before, i highly recommend you camp. Its a fantastic, chilled out atmosphere and the organisers put on a few games such as tug of war to keep a bit of competition going between the clubs.

Tickets are now on sale at £11 per person for a day ticket (just the show day) or £20 per person for the show day and camping the night before. Hill runs can also be purchased in advanced starting from £6 per run. Tickets can be found on the PSCUK shop Here. If you are planning to have your car on the 306oc stand, you must purchase your tickets before hand. You can buy tickets on the gate if it is going to be a last minute decision for you but you will be parked in the public car park. This also means you will have no access to the hill climb.
If buying tickets in advance, make sure you put your reg number in the form and our club name if you wish to be on our stand.

Camping is open from 3pm on the Saturday and gates close at 9pm. If you arrive after 9pm, you will not be allowed in so allow plenty of time to get there. We will be camping as a group again so if you are new to the club, please do come and find us and have a chat. We are all friendly enough!
BBQs are allowed however must be raised off the ground and there is toilet facilities on site but only one shower.
