After getting 2 "decent" offers on the whole car, for now ive decided to keep it, had a talk with Marvin, and after spending all our free time on it and without Marvin the thing would still be standing in its place without a motor it wouldnt be quite fair to sell up.

So im starting next week on the reserve engine, and were going to make that one forged with the parts i already have.

Car wont be on the road anymore this year, i suspended it again and removed it from Insurance.
To be really honest, im not that gutted that this has happened, since the clutch problems already ruined the drivingfun of the car.

Will update next week with some pics to keep the show on the road, although motivation is kinda low Wink

Good job you decided to keep it mate, seems silly to have put all that time/effort/money in to it, just to sell it cos it had some teething problems. Wink Take a step back from it, put it out of your mind for a bit, then go back to it with fresh eyes, and get it sorted in time for FCS '14 Big Grin

shat a bearing... Undecided ?

Unless i missed something pretty huge..?

Glad you have decided to keep the car.

I spun a bearing in my GTi6, same again, oil starvation. Horrible noise! Even non-car people would be able to tell it's an expensive problem. Fortunately, not my fault and was fixed under warranty.

There must be some thought in the back of your mind that you could have gone with an engine swap for something which was built for forced induction, and whilst there would be more fabrication work you would be out driving it right now...

I'll stop talking.
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Well guys decided to sell the car, its going to a Danish GTI6 member.

To be honest the motivation is gone and dont think putting the car away for a few months would see things different.

Thankyou all for the great comments and positive things, i had a fine time here and im sure ill hang around and have a look every now and then here.

I had a blast doing the car with Marvin, and it might be true what they say, creating something is a lot more fun then driving it ( and repairing, haha)

I wish all of you the best and be safe

Paul
