Was looking at £200 inc postage for Ready to fit TD04L unit

Will this literally be taking one turbo off and fitting the new one?

Pretty much yeahh it will be de-wastegated for room issues, you will need an oil line but they are £20 quid on forum and may need to tap bulkhead some havent needed to but i and other have had to but not a major job as it will come with plates sealed up ready to fit
Ash how bout i get my tow rope and drag you down main road have experience in that cos im allergic to skittles lol

Basically mate there's not much room behind engine for such a big turbo and taking engine rock in to accout you just need to "tap" the bulkhead in abit for extra room, no damage and doesn't affect anything just more space by afew cm or so

hmmmmm i dont think running a td04 on top mount is best idea, but to be fair not known anyone to do it? could always get it so you dont miss out with it being cheap and easy then run low boost till you get fmic? can get them cheap enough now. think i got a spare somewhere tbh you could have cheap?

Well if you keep the TD04 in its efficiency then you don't need a fmic :-) tmic is just fine in some cases as long as its efficient then it won't get that hot :-)
Its not all about getting the psi maxed. My T2 @32 psi is slower than it at 26-28 psi

Any turbo will work with a topmount and to some degree the bigger the turbo the better it will....but either way, any blower will still suffer on these motors if you drive hard...Even a VNT running really effeiciantly WILL heatsoak if you drive it hard and loose some of its edge...water meths is just as effective if not more so than a fmic though which is another option, but you loose the crisp burn when they get hot thats for sure...
