Interest - Check30 - 29-09-2012 Will this literally be taking one turbo off and fitting the new one? RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 infact im gonna piss off this thread and leave it for sales of this bargin!! must say to anyone wondering its very cheap for no hassle!! enjoy ![]() RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - Check30 - 29-09-2012 What does tap bulkhead entail sorry for all the questions just not very mechanically minded lol RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 Basically mate there's not much room behind engine for such a big turbo and taking engine rock in to accout you just need to "tap" the bulkhead in abit for extra room, no damage and doesn't affect anything just more space by afew cm or so RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - Check30 - 29-09-2012 Baaahaha feel stupid now im interested so will let you know defiantly tomorrow RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 Hahah its defo worth it mate!! I've bought all separate and this worked out cheaper and a lot less hassle!! Perfect for quick and easy change over stress free RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - Check30 - 29-09-2012 I need it as easy as possible just bought Bosch pump as well so might do it all at the same time need to work on the mrs first lol RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 Might aswel spend a day/2 getting it all done at once instead of stripping car down twice if you ask me ![]() ![]() RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - Check30 - 29-09-2012 Yea good shout ive only got standard intercooler at the moment tho ![]() RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 hmmmmm i dont think running a td04 on top mount is best idea, but to be fair not known anyone to do it? could always get it so you dont miss out with it being cheap and easy then run low boost till you get fmic? can get them cheap enough now. think i got a spare somewhere tbh you could have cheap? RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - 4WayDiablo - 29-09-2012 Well if you keep the TD04 in its efficiency then you don't need a fmic :-) tmic is just fine in some cases as long as its efficient then it won't get that hot :-) Its not all about getting the psi maxed. My T2 @32 psi is slower than it at 26-28 psi RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - the milkman - 29-09-2012 well there you have it! a phil knows his stuff ALOT more than i ever will lol TD04L Ready to fit.. Nope none at all . RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - CJ_Derv - 30-09-2012 TD04s are fine on a top mount if mine didnt have a FMIC slready fitted when i bought it id have stayed TMIC RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - darrenjlobb - 30-09-2012 Any turbo will work with a topmount and to some degree the bigger the turbo the better it will....but either way, any blower will still suffer on these motors if you drive hard...Even a VNT running really effeiciantly WILL heatsoak if you drive it hard and loose some of its edge...water meths is just as effective if not more so than a fmic though which is another option, but you loose the crisp burn when they get hot thats for sure... RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - Mattcheese31 - 30-09-2012 i'll be running mine on a top mount so meh . . ![]() RE: TD04L Ready to fit.. Interest - CJ_Derv - 30-09-2012 How easy is it to make your own water meth kit darren or should i just buy a kit? |
