Am i in the right or?...
#1
So basically i recently listed my mobile phone on ebay and a user contacted me and asked to cancel the auction and they would paypal me 100 quid.

I took the offer and cancelled my listing, the user sent me the money and i sent the item a couple of days later.

when the item arrived the user then cancelled the paypal payment and also has the item.

I just contacted them and they are asking me to pay for a new battery cover because it "doesnt fit" even though it fit perfectly for the year i had it....

so in final, they are refusing to send me the money again unless i buy a new cover for them, WTF

So my paypal is in -£96 and im without a phone, where the f*ck do i stand?!

open paypal dispute, contact ebay, OR get him to return the item - NEVER cancel an ebay listing if you have it up for aution, or set a respectable BIN price.

Get the item back, accept you maybe £5-£10 down and learn from your mistake mate.

cheers mate, definitely learned my lesson from this...

They even got the item for less than the BIN price by like £50!

Only reason i let it go was because they said they needed a phone quick and didnt have alot of money, teaches me for being nice i suppose

Lol if you needed a quick sale, set a lower BIN price lol

Open up as many disputes as possible mate, the buyer will soon buck up... send him a message telling him what you're doing, give him a respectable time scale to return the item to you as the money has already been returned.

lol never feel kind for someone you dont know, i wouldnt worry mate, it has happened to me before and you feel like a mug...

Don't worry, ebay and paypal can sort it out - if he ever wants to use ebay again, he'll do whats right

You still got the address you sent the phone to?

Maybe someone you trust off here would be nice enough to pop round and get it back for you.

People always try it. Don't be nice to anyone. They'll never return the favor. I sold a laptop to someone and he was moaning they was a rubber foot missing. Twats.

update! they are now demanding that i refund them another £20 so that they can buy another battery cover, surely a battery cover costs less than £20? so in effect i would of sold a phone for £70 that was worth way more.

Fed up of people like this, posting full address if not sorted by end of the day! f*cking ridiculous!!!

Luton

Sounds like they are being complete bell ends mate. If eBay doesn't sort it, you should definitely go there and sort it in person. Either that or get them to post the phone back if they're not happy with it.

My response to the dispute...
"Item has been received and user is saying that battery cover does not fit, which it does fit as i owned the phone myself before hand.

Also requesting £20 back from me for a new back case but i have found them online for way cheaper.

Example;

http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Back-Cover-Ba ... B004YXKW52

http://www.iphonepartssale.com/product_ ... ts_id=1232

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_nkw ... 0385786937

The second one even comes with a second battery and posted for less than £20."

Fair?!?

I wouldn't even honour it with a reply mate, it shouldn't be costing you any more time / money.

Either he pays in full or returns the item as it was before. If not it will need to be alleviated from him by one of the local members.

If it is Luton, that's only 20 minutes away...
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Haha, you don't need more than a post code, just drive to centre of postcode and tell him to look out the window for a 306 and that it'll be back in 2 hours if he doesn't sort his life out... ninja
