I actually Facebooked messaged mark dow who's quite high up at PFC and dealing with some aspects of FCS. I asked him and he basically said we can all come in with are respective clubs and either become a extension of a club stand I'll make a thread and start generating interest Astor 6 Fast road/track project

So today when for a 30 mile hoon in search for my strut brace, took mate with me(don't think he was expecting the rallye to be that quick :laugh )
It still really surpises me,even start line speed between 4k to 6.5/7k its just brutal. I am in the process of getting a manifold bung resonator and PTFE gasket then I'll be ready to fit this little lot : Not 100 percent shure about manifold and fuel rail colour.maybe do mani gloss black Astor 6 Fast road/track project

It will sound AWSOME with the bung in, and take your time to make sure the inlet is sat right before tightening it up with the PTFE. Watch the brackets under the front of the mani, make sure it doesn't catch... I broke 2 mani's that way...

Ah cl i am abit heavy handed so will take extra care.i'am really struggling to get a PTFE gasket anyone one here do them? I've also got some cylinder head/block paint so going get to all I can get too.be putting a alloy crank pully on aswell as well as changing the cambelt or adjust it as it appears to save slipped slightly across. Get shot of the Pas aswell and will be sanding slam panel and remove the battery boxplate or maybe lazy and cover it up the induction hosing. Astor 6 Fast road/track project

Sam, just use the paintremover that you can get in a tin
something like this.. it will come off in seconds up to 10 layers of paint, it will eat it away (did mine the same way )

I just need to do tracking, 4 wheel laser alignment, clutch cable and balance one of the many sets of clones I have atm but this should be done by the 25th of this month. Astor 6 Fast road/track project
I love snetterton, spent a lot of good days there, dad won the 24hrs there.
Yeah some of the track days at the shows look good value however I don't know how good they are? Cyclones lol I've got sets coming out my ears however none of them fit now! Lol. You've got a few sets to haven't you? I do like the attention to detail on yours though, what's next? Seats may be available soon if you want them?
In fairness i couldn't tell you as the car was bought with the gasket already on, i just know it makes a significant power increase - enough to pull away from a standard GTI, what that is in power, i couldnt say.

What exactly is the difference of this gasket?
(17-03-2013, 05:59 PM)Tallguy_2 Wrote: I love snetterton, spent a lot of good days there, dad won the 24hrs there. I got 8 clones, and a set of t1r's and a set of ventus v12's so pretty well equipped for wet and dry days. But as soon as I get through the tryes I'll get some more td's and get some 406 v6 brembo's Next is :get spare wheels balanced and change tryes to the t1r's :get the tracking and alignment done :and most importantly do a trackday!!!!! Yeah give me a pm when you ready to sell your buckets Ah they s a open pit eve at snetterton on april 22th only £49.99 (17-03-2013, 07:30 PM)Tallguy_2 Wrote: What exactly is the difference of this gasket? They are meant to stop or at least minimise heat soak from the engine to inlet manifold. The heat soak occurs if you are sat in traffic or just generally sat there with the engine running or even once your engine is turnt off as the engine starts to lose heat. when the inlet manifold is warm due to the engine soak it makes acceleration slightly sluggish due to the air passing through the manifold being at a warm to hot temperature. However once you have driven 5 minutes down the road the heat off the manifold drops to outside air temp obviously due to air passing through it and around it. People do say they is a slight increase in acceration Astor 6 Fast road/track project
Had a very productive weekend of gathering car bits.
First ups these little gems.Team dynamics pro 1.2 15x7 et 35. they were on bay and decided to sent a msg to him as he was only about a hour away. Received this(sorry about my spelling, was seriously hanging from the previous night) needless to say they sitting in my boot later that evening Here s picture of them condition is pretty messy but I quite like refurbing wheels so not to bothered 2nd buy 4 t1r's to replace 2 of the fronts and other 2 to make up a track set £50 of a mate all well above the limits almost too good to track.
