phase 1 s16 phase 2 xsi engine swap

Hi all i just got johnny b old s16 i removed the engine for a rebuild as it has no compression so i fitted my phase 2 xsi engine but it wont start the xsi ecu has had a hard unlock i think the phase one and phase 2 engine plugs are diffent can some one helP as i got a track day at brands on the 27th

Different immobiliser systems?

Probably different engine loom connections, just dig out the autodata and go through it. Wires are all numbered so fairly easy if tedious. Have any fuel or spark?

Hi mate it has a key but but it should not be needed as the ecu is unlocked but they must be diffent in the loom plugs as it wont turn over on the key .. i got fuel to the rail but only when i wire oin the switched live on the relaly ... thanks jack
