Anyone give me tips on painting a 6 inlet manifold steps and paint type they used

Clean it all up the best you can and then use etch primer and high temp paint.

Mine was just cleaned and sprayed with Simoniz high temp paint I think it was had a fair few coats though

cleaned mine with wirebrush in a drill, washed it off with brake cleaner,masked up the holes,primmed with halfords primmer,painted with halfords car paint,clear coated with halfords lacure

Finished painting my spare inlet the other day.

Before:

That was a full de-grease, light sand with 800 wet, 1200 dry then 2 coats white etch primer and 3 coats Agri spec High temp gloss red.

use a solvent to disolve the glue remove the badge then you can re fix it with some double sided sticky Wink

There's a guy that custom makes them, original, new colours, other designs etc. for 3 quid or something.

I painted one a while ago, but it turned out to be warped. :/

i've sprayed them in the past and also had them powdercoated. always been much happier with the powdercoated finish to be honest

only pain is when the coaters decide to leave all the bolt holes uncovered and you spend 2 hours unpicking coating from threads..

oh mate that 205 is ruined. look how terrible it looks with that awesome engine in it. Absolutely ruined... i cant even look at it.
