Mofo! I should have just looked on here to find out what it failed on [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] only just got a phone call telling me.

Decat will be passed but while they have to keep the car on site they have to fail it so that will dissapear.
Gave them a new sill to weld in as we already knew that was a gone.
Wipers.... feel like a muppet as always forget these unless someone mentions it [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
And as for the rear shock absorber bushes. Just got off the phone from gaz. £3.50 an end so bought the lot and will give me somthing to do when the cars back.

Okey dokey. Car past with a clean ticket. Seems there was alot more rot in her then i first thought. Ended up being sill, inner sill including bottom of b-pillar and seatbelt mount.[Image: 52157c29c58133d12b1dee947f4adc38.jpg][Image: 78d4042829133a32692a6d3310821297.jpg][Image: 79399123f1682f41ee3607f31d7a5b0e.jpg]
Scared the shit out of me when he phoned and said and was expecting a stupid bill after but ended up being £200 with the mot, bushes fitted and wipers.... cant complain [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Anyways done some spending again. Miss my takata harness's somthing rotten so ended up buying some lukes at what seems to me like a cheap price
[Image: c477edb79c00e54758bcd7bc008544a3.jpg]
Seems the last owners covered them in oil and paint. Been attacking them this evening hoping there cleaner after but paint isnt shifting
[Image: dee832102c137731e6f48c6a5bf2fc5d.jpg]
Any ideas on how to get these cleaner people? please?

Also fitting the harness's in the correct way this time. Saw mr ian (slamwagon) roberts was breaking the china blue estate so pounced on his harness bar [Image: a4d333ffb008fe3f3b222c58bdc61836.jpg]
Also bought the eyelets needed too.

Well harness bar arrived today (thank you ian slamwagon)[Image: 46c0a856ee570fd2b901ca72b016c747.jpg]
Reallised straight away ive got problems with fitting it. Had overlooked the thickness of the lower rose joint. My plan was to use the lower seatbelt point to anchor the harness bar and for one of the eyelet points. But the eyelets i bought were too short (25mm). Ive now ordered some 50mm eyelets that will give me the extra thread i need.
[Image: 6f0ba49dfc4051a38f329a32ca2d54ba.jpg][Image: 76270694fc1ac93d1f756e2b487c5bb9.jpg]
My next concern was the adjustable point for the top of the seatbelt. This again is another harness bar anchor point but not happy with how ratterly the adjuster is nor the fact it can still be adjusted. Also was after a more oem finish over the way ian fitted it without the covers. [Image: 0aa2dd52d398942f053809618a36fa17.jpg]
[Image: 9190e072e1c3762bc2b9cd248a56b85d.jpg] ok so the system i found was alot easier then i thought to lock solid. Basically its just a case of remove the sprung loaded pin and replace it with an m6 and nyloc nut..[Image: c124cd6a4220ec03eb5cac731e1b8806.jpg][Image: 95e5c3dedc0de6a4a9c6bfcb06f98110.jpg][Image: cf3c18af66e4d7c24e19209b422f7a42.jpg][Image: 7e5b30113bc0a36754bf051e8e64c4f0.jpg]
Im alot happier with this finish as it looks like it "belongs" in the car rather then looking like a bodged up scaff pole.
So currently waiting for extended eyelets to arrive to get this job done with.

Still havnt finished the internal mbc nor fan setup yet so thats also on the "to do" list

So bits arrived to get the harness bar in. Pretty pleased how it all fits. Was concerned about how flimsy the harness bar felt bolting it in but once everything was pulled tight there really is no give in it at all [Image: e667bfa834180c5276f99f72320b59b6.jpg][Image: 18af765d56e9d54ddc391c2069f2c327.jpg]

Are you still planning on having passengers in the back? Where's the booster seat going? In a bucket seat with a harness?

I don't get if you're trolling for a reaction or not?

Either way the risk of condoning this sort of thing on a public forum is that someone will come along and read your thread, then think its ok to do similar which could end up in harm for them or others. Not cool m9

Whilst I give kudos for ensuring the harnesses are fitted at a safe angle...
I genuinely hope you are joking about still using those back seats for humans.
And what is legislatio. Regarding children/child seat/harness/buckets?? - genuinely curious. But at a guess...not the best idea?

First thing I thought was I hope you're not planning on having your daughter sat in the back of that. That bar will cause massive damage if a body was thrown into it/head hit it.

I'm also 99% sure you can't use child seats with buckets/harnesses.

I've got nothing against you Justin but as a really serious matter involving your daughter I genuinely hope you're not planning on taking her in this anymore

That's great, I just assumed she was as you put pics on IG with her in the car and with the booster seat in there it's kinda natural to think she'd be going in it

Only thinking of safety, no need to go off on one mate

How times change. When I was a kid the only form of transport we had for years was a van. Guess where the kids had to sit when if we ever got chance to go on holiday? A Bedford CF we had even had a bar fitted horizontally across the load space for some reason that eludes me still, my sisters used to attempt gymnastics on it as we were going along!

Think you blokes need to chill out a bit btw all his responses were clearly a wind-up from where I'm sat.

But they do change Paul...that bedford van couldnt pull 50mph downhill I expect...and safety (and the law) has massively improved since...for good reason tbh
