The estate is gone to make way for the disco ,
Plans are to make it a little more off road capable
So far iv done....
Cambelt & tesioners.
Fix oil leak from filter housing
+2" shock mounts on the rear
Tuned the 11mm bosch so that it actually moves now lol

Plans are as follows, It will prob just sound like german to most lol
+2" Turret tops
+2" springs
+5" shocks
+3" braided brake lies
Tubular winch bumper
Light bar & spots
Tree sliders
35" MT tyres & 10.5J steels
once all that is in place i will go from there,
Also just got a 4 bolt rear diff conversion kit to day, so that i can use a double UJ prop shaft from the 200TDI, The later 300 like this only has a UJ at the transfer box end, And a STUPID Rubber doughnut thing at the diff end. Like pictured below

Yeah i know, I know these early discovery's & defenders inside out, this one is pretty good, requires small bit of welding in the front 2 arches, and a small patch in the rear passenger arch, both sills & rear door shuts have already been replaced, everything else is sound & the chassis is pretty much mint. & has never been welded

Iv Pinch my old chap's old light bar and jammed 4 odd spots i had lying around on it and wired it up, looks much better IMO

Extra long braided brake lines

Mate its such a dream to work on compared to a 306, Jobs take half as long as i expect, All so simply put together, grate access, and i can get the air gun on 99% on the bolts and just bang them off with the big air gun, and most things are 17, 19, 21 mm bolts that take some abuse none of this 10, 13, 16 mm cheese

I thought parts for the early discovery/ defenders were fairly cheap these days. but iv been around landys a long time now. and know alot of people that deal with them. ov just had a look at your thread . would of loved a defender bit they fech a fair bit more than a simular age disco. and the disco is a bit more friendly day to day. my old chap also has a 200tdi defender bit its a tad bit more modified lol
