& yes the rubber doughnuts are fecking ridiculous, the cons far out way the pros.

RE: Pugloves 300TDI Disco - ConorTRG - 25-02-2014

Looks well, but they can fairly rot if you pick a bad one, ive a couple of them broke cause they were that bad.

RE: Pugloves 300TDI Disco - puglove - 25-02-2014

Yeah i know, I know these early discovery's & defenders inside out, this one is pretty good, requires small bit of welding in the front 2 arches, and a small patch in the rear passenger arch, both sills & rear door shuts have already been replaced, everything else is sound & the chassis is pretty much mint. & has never been welded

RE: Pugloves 300TDI Disco - Piggy - 14-05-2014

Awesome dood.

All you need now is to rip that ugly body off and fit a 306 body on the chassis!!

Mate its such a dream to work on compared to a 306, Jobs take half as long as i expect, All so simply put together, grate access, and i can get the air gun on 99% on the bolts and just bang them off with the big air gun, and most things are 17, 19, 21 mm bolts that take some abuse none of this 10, 13, 16 mm cheese Tongue

RE: Pugloves 300TDI Disco - Piggy - 14-05-2014

RE: Pugloves 300TDI Disco - puglove - 14-05-2014

I thought parts for the early discovery/ defenders were fairly cheap these days. but iv been around landys a long time now. and know alot of people that deal with them. ov just had a look at your thread . would of loved a defender bit they fech a fair bit more than a simular age disco. and the disco is a bit more friendly day to day. my old chap also has a 200tdi defender bit its a tad bit more modified lol
