Plans are as follows, It will prob just sound like german to most lol

+2" Turret tops
+2" springs
+5" shocks
+3" braided brake lies
Tubular winch bumper
Light bar & spots
Tree sliders
35" MT tyres & 10.5J steels

once all that is in place i will go from there,

Also just got a 4 bolt rear diff conversion kit to day, so that i can use a double UJ prop shaft from the 200TDI, The later 300 like this only has a UJ at the transfer box end, And a STUPID Rubber doughnut thing at the diff end. Like pictured below

Yeah i know, I know these early discovery's & defenders inside out, this one is pretty good, requires small bit of welding in the front 2 arches, and a small patch in the rear passenger arch, both sills & rear door shuts have already been replaced, everything else is sound & the chassis is pretty much mint. & has never been welded

New lift kit, Gaz shocks +2, +2 springs, +2 front turret top mounts, +2 rear shock mounts. Also have some spring relocation cones to stop the rear springs doing a runner

Also started patching the inner wings ready for MOT, Didnt really take many pics tho

[attachment=16275]

[attachment=16276]

Then i got abit happy with the cutter and the rot was abit more extensive than i thought, I havnt got any pics once repaired but its a real tidy job now its all under sealed

[attachment=16277]

[attachment=16278]

Now with the bigger suspension movement the wheels are hitting the arches and bending them up #WHONEEDSAARCHROLLER

Mate its such a dream to work on compared to a 306, Jobs take half as long as i expect, All so simply put together, grate access, and i can get the air gun on 99% on the bolts and just bang them off with the big air gun, and most things are 17, 19, 21 mm bolts that take some abuse none of this 10, 13, 16 mm cheese Tongue

I thought parts for the early discovery/ defenders were fairly cheap these days. but iv been around landys a long time now. and know alot of people that deal with them. ov just had a look at your thread . would of loved a defender bit they fech a fair bit more than a simular age disco. and the disco is a bit more friendly day to day. my old chap also has a 200tdi defender bit its a tad bit more modified lol
