To be honest, i can't think of a better all round motor for me. Good power figures from the factory, with plenty of tuning potential, as well as good looks, and practicality for when ive got the kids. Just a shame i'd need a mortgage to run it! (Compared to the DT anyway )
My ex-next-door-neighbour had a nice Scoob, if i'd have owned it in the state it was in when he sold it, the only things i'd have done more to it would have been some lows, and a few subtle touches to the bodywork, but heres how it looked when we said goodbye:
I would love an accord type r or civic type r but as I know I won't get insured I want a vtec civic next, I love subarus and my uncle has 2, p reg impreza and a 52 plate wrx sti and if I could get insured on the p reg I would, but it's not really practical for an everyday car is it.
On the other hand, looking at Scott's and CJ's motors, I quite like them sooooo I dunno, whatever I can insure at the time really lol

Mate, i was seriously looking at getting a loan when he said he was selling it, knowing how mint that car was (full engine rebuild less than 10,000 miles before sale). I would have crippled myself if i had got the loan, as well as the insurance, let alone running it! Really wanted that car though.

That's the thing man, you could have gotten a loan but you'd have no enjoyment driving it because you'd be so wary of how much it was costing.

Either that or an import cummins.
My mate has a classic RR with a 6.5 V8 Detroit Diesel, should really get some pics up, keeps snapping half-shafts with the torque! Still way better on fuel than the 3.5 RV8 it had previously...
It's a 520d - so a poverty spec engine, probably a pov spec interior, but all the M sport package... With the twin tail pipes so it looks like a *30d...
How ghey!
