206 gti180 engine
Probably slightly slower than the XU10 but has VVT and takes much much better to modifying.

Sorry this is the 205 that you struggle getting insurance quotes on already and you think that dropping in a K20 will help lol

IMO a 1.4 16v HDi could be an awesome experiment

Still don't get the appeal of 205s, the GTi's look nice but standard ones look pretty naff.

ANd what are you going to tow it to shows/tracks with bearing in mind you cant even get insured on a 205.

IMO sort the 205 as standard and start driving it or even store the 205 and start driving something really insurance friendly like a 1.4 306 while you decide what you want to do with the 205.

Finally if you want something really fast for track days and shows and its a second car then you could do much better than a 205. For less than a grand you can get all kinds of RWD or 4WD jap scrap with shiny big turbos or a kit car that needs work but weighs less than 500kg.

That was just too much! At Pugfest last year, he couldnt go anywhere until 4th gear. Just too much power for that car!

Now I don't want to call the area you live a shit hole but you can get insured on a 306 that comes standard with an immobiliser but you cant get insured on a 205 that doesn't have an immobiliser.

Its a 306 enthusiasts club. I suggested getting a 306, what the f*ck did you expect.

Talking of evos and 205s though did you know that an older scooby is a very very similar wheelbase to a 205. It is possible to weld a 205 body over a scooby floor pan, engine and running gear.

End of the day, we all live for the 306 but that doesnt mean we cant like other cars. (just dont let Dan! hear me say that or he will kill a kitten)

I'd go for a 1.6 v-tec myself, if you're going to have something revvy may as well go all the way, plus it's a lighter engine more suited to the chassis imo.

You can never have to much power..clearly just didnt have rude enough tyres, lol.

I say go for it, if you want something unique / special, you have to just go for it, fook what other people think, its your car afterall, they will change there mind when you ra*e past them at 11krpm on a track, trust.
