Thanks for the offer Grant, but it has to be done before Sunday (Katie has to use the car for work)

Plus, due to the tyres, its not legal.

Waiting on Dum Dums reply re. shocks

Found a guide, looks like a proper ball ache, but do able!

Shocks are easy mate, just soak everything in penetrating spray (on the car that is (inb4giggedy)) well before you start to make everything easy. Take our time, follow the guides, double check all your torques, then check again.

Its really easy when you know how Smile

Fair enough, have come up well for me in 15" sizes, mobile fitting would help with lack of mot. Sounds like you've got most things sorted now!

Sounds like the nut on the drop link, might be able to get a thin spanner behind it to stop it turning or a set of molegrips...

theres no nut behind it to hold. just something smooth and round.

there is an allen key shaped hole but none of mine fit in it

dont have molegrips :-(

Sure its not a torx bit?

But in my vast experience in removing struts........ If they are the original drop links you are going to have to cut them off and replace them, 90 of the time I cant get them off with mole grips and an impact gun. so youv got pretty much 0% chance, even if you find an allen key to fit chances are it will just round out so go down the factors get a couple new ones £8 a side ish, then cut them off

Really? For the sake of a few quid at ECP and using a hacksaw you'll pay their extortionate prices?

Linslade tyres! Mrs likes the place, I usually use Mann motors for my MOT.

Any suggestions Kris?

Wouldnt go near linslade tyres personally they tried to say I needed both front arms n droplinks
When all I needed was one arm and a droplink tightened.
Dont know about mann motors though, I normally use f1 tyres and exhaust
Or Diagnostic Services and repairs (found them to be very helpful and honest)

That is expensive tbf, seriously £34.88 plus vat for toe correction (tracking)? Thats a half hour job tops, maybe 45 mins if the whole car is seized.
