WANTED: Stock Boost Hoses
#1
Darren will vouch for me on this.

I need as many stock boost hoses as possible, I owe Darren I think 3 hoses now? And I need a few, I keep splitting them...

So anyone who has one spare, gimme, I'm happy to pay, and I'll be going down to the scrappies to get a few too...

Ruan xx

How restrictive is the stock black hose? been thinking of getting a silicone hose to replace it, with a 2.25" diameter.

stock pipes are fine...no smaller than the outlet on the compressor of most turbos you are running....

It can't be restrictive, it's on the compressed side, if it was going SMALLER than the outlet of the turbocharger, then it could be restrictive, but it's not...

Bigger =/= Better.

It is, it goes from 2" off the turbo down to 1 and 3/4" then back up to 2"

That stock boost hose is fine for 200hp+ so I really wouldnt worry...

The reason Ruan is having issues is nothing to do with it not being big enough, its just because his VNT sits at a funny angle, meaning the stock boost pipe dosnt fit correctly and is always sat at an angle, and over time of it compresses / expanding etc, it splits....

It seriously isn't restrictive...

The air is compressed anyway... A GT35 uses the same 2" outlet off the turbo, if the outlet side was restrictive, don't you think it'd be a 3"+... dropping to 1 3/4" isn't going to restrict it at all on a pissy T2 or even a T25... If anything it's more area to fill at 2" all the way through, therefore more lag... Inlet side is a different matter entirely, but post compressor it makes no difference.

People have made 200+hp on that hose, I'm really not going to worry.
