Just bought myself a set of 16" nimrods, and then remembered about insurance..
What sort of difference are people seeing over standard wheels (mine is meridian SE so 'clones as standard)

And another question. Do I need longer/different wheel bolts and/or spacers?

Cheers

Iirc you do need spacers for the rear on the 306 with nimrods which also means new bolts.
Wheels are a common mod and as such are quite cheap with insurance. Mine is only an extra 20 a year for aftermarket alloys.

Dont think I pay extra for wheels, TBH i pay less on a modded car than I would a standard one.
If theyer 406 nimrods you wont need spacers and std bolts should fit. if theyer 206 ones youll need 13mm spacers all round

Id say just let them know its a standard peugeot alloy and not an aftermarket jobbie might help keep the cost down

yep there are two options... After market alloys and optional extra alloys. I would put them in the latter category seeing as they are pug made.

I guess it's not lying to say it's standard pug wheels, but they might whinge about spacers..

says nothing about spacers on the list of mods. I presume its one of those that doesn't really matter like drilled and grooved discs etc. Obviously if you crashed due to a problem caused by the spacers you would be screwed...

When you're on the phone and you mention wheels, just say they are peugeot wheels

Probably found them on a mk2 Golf in someones back garden
