Any of you computery type geeky people out there able to help me?

Ive got BT infinity (home hub 5) and BT TV. The BT TV is connected to the home hub as they suggest via the supplied cat5 cable but it keeps on telling me the internet is disconnected on the tv. If i unplug the cat 5 from the router and plug it back in again, it immediately connects and is fine for a few hours again. Its not an internet issue because whilst the tv can't connect, i can be happily using the internet.
Any suggestions? BT support are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot and their suggestion constantly is restart your router. Doesn't help!!

Tell them that your hub is faulty and get them to send you a new one

The cable that came with it was Cat5e. Ive also tried a Cat6 which was no different, still dropped out
An earlier home hub isn't really an option. Im not pay for one and plus i like having to A/C wifi

But my question here is, is the hub faulty? Could be the TV box, could just be a setting of some sort. I really don't know lol

Try setting the TV to a fixed IP address on the router.
