Ok so a couple of updates, been pretty flatout with fcs round the corner. Done a little number on the engine bay changing bolts for the honda style counter sunk allen keys and dashing a bit of yellow in.

Also got hold of some harley davidson chrome spike nuts for the engine cover.
Decided to add a little gay touch of painted lettering on the tyres too

Anyway down to updating this thread back to present. After fcs descovered id managed to shit the engine mount after a nice rolling burnout [Image: 9662d5183252193cbc7b1a2b423f3eab.jpg]
So the welding job wasnt to great but shes well penertrated and gonna hold well. Also added a packer to reduce engine sway, have got a baker bm fork bush sat in the glovebox over due fitment.
The only downside of the 7mm plate i deceided to use was the fact it ended up nearly raising the mount an inch as can be seen by how ive attacked the top buffer.

Been craving a battery relocation for a while and had been collecting the bits too. Gathered up a merc battery cable, terminals, eyelets etc for the job. Anyone who knows me will know i like to keep my wiring looking oem so what better way then hiding the possi distrubuter block in the fuse box?
Dislike the look of battery boxes so the battery has liturally been sacked in the boot behind the seats. [Image: 89504b0c417c1052d08c60bc753bc1e4.jpg]
Afterwards went back and cleaned up the rust i found in the bay with a fresh lick of diablo
[Image: 2a20ad540152ec38ee8ff96427fe39b4.jpg]

So with the battery in the boot some scrubbing began.... so bye bye bilsteins and hello gaz golds Wink
[Image: 5c467bf8ef4457ee5baed4b7306b4a29.jpg]
Decided to splash abit more cash on the underside and treated the car to some powerflex bump stops and exhaust hangings.

Performed a little wishbone rebuild today. Roller bearings had seen better days so set about refreshing them.
Heated the pbush housing with a heat gun and drifted the bearings in with ease
[Image: eb182738dca0ddd01c04348fbafd3821.jpg]
As can be seen by the pic the original sleeve had taken a beaten badly. New were ordered from lynx engineering.
The state of the front bust bearings was insane. Missing a dust cover, balls missing and inner piece set to drop out
[Image: bdac20c2e02b742d417bd694f7b128b2.jpg]
These were stubborn to get out but once out were easy to replace. Yet again chose to heat the housing but rather then drift the bearings in with a socket i decided to pull them in with a nut and bolt and washer meeting the outer edge of the bearing.
Once finished was a simple case of refitt

Bit more progress after work. Preparing to fit 195 tyres on the rear to lose my daft stretch up back and gain a little more traction. the only problem was i needed a minimum spacing of 10mm to clear the callipers and there was a huge chance the 195's would rub on the arch at 10mm (currently on 20mm spacers)
So the only logical step i could see was to shave the calipers down.
Kinda think the offsets looking very sory for itself having come in 15mm (sat on 5mm spacers now)
Not a 100% sure on wether i like the fronts poking out now so tempted to take them in 10mm now but will wait till the tyres are fitted up rear

Well couldnt get the wheel to fit after the 195's went on so back to the drawing bored on that note.
So back to business, entered tye car for its mot, genuinley thought it would fail on a long list but the only two things were axel bushes and a brake leak.
After fitting the bushes tried searching for the leak were i had been shown to discover it was only excess fluid from where i had bled them a week ago [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Anyways so this means that the ph2 crystal head lights passed the mot, was told they were a little hazey but was down to poor bulbs.
Couple of pics from the other night

Found this cargo net in a scrapyard the other day. Bit of a random find to alot of you but was out of my first ever 306 estate. Just brought back abit of nostalgia and had to be fitted how it used to be again.
The only two pics i have of the first 306, died an amazing death at 340k with headgasket failure. Refused to top it up with anymore water one day as it would drink 4ltr in 30 mile then boom, had nipped at shat a rod out the block [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Hopefully a perminant cure to whats been a repetavie problem. Anyway heres abit of a crapy vid of her pulling in 4th

So the other day this happened. The car returned to where she started being built to be sat up. Managed to blow bothe the clutch and gearbox at the same time Sad
[Image: db2d7c1080383c55579806c1ae1e7b7c.jpg][Image: 95af55886cc30088f4bf2a502984f8e1.jpg]
So once the box was off kinda become obv the damage was internal. Had bought a new box already but the backlash and play in the main shaft was pretty damn extreme compared to the new box!
The state of the clutch just p#@$ed me off. was once upon atime a cg paddle but hadnt expecred it to go yet. The clutch had managed to eat down to the rivets, snapped and shettered the sprung center and snapped the spline center from the body. Aswell as this the flywheels scored to hell and the only savagable thing from my transmission appears to be drive shafts and a clutch fork..... fml
[Image: 1dfa0667880428faf9fa467789efbf64.jpg][Image: 6736dca6cdd828d66a1e551cddf6d2fb.jpg][Image: fd856d84d3f9af2be9644ffdc9db7a46.jpg][Image: bc6eb9ab6ff94f98ea7f9c4fbba06ee2.jpg]
Still watch this space! Dont intend to miss out on pfc expo in three weeks time considering the car made it to the top 40!

I have a set of four AX GT arches that could be grafted on painted and smoothed if you CBA?
Would take up the gap on the outer rims! Not perfect but...
