Looks like a nice bit of kit.... but with over 300bhp and only the standard 106 GTI brakes this is a bit concerning (266mm aren't they?)

Has the Honda prelude front brakes on the rear and the stock GTi fronts
Edit: Look to be 281.8mm on the rear.

You'd still think for safety and to match the rest of the car build they'd have something better fitted like the GTI6 283mm or the 406 Brembos, cant see it stopping on track very well at 120mph+ on stock 106 GTI brakes, especially if its reaching these speeds with ease.

I just don't understand why someone would spend £12k building something like that, do 6k miles and then sell it for half as much!? Do people just have more money than sense?

I've been there and met the team. We bought the antique fire fighting equipment from one of the episodes of the first season.

There is no way on earth that has 300bhp!!!
The engine barely makes more power than a GTi6 lump and with those mods you wouldnt even see over 200bhp

Maybe Piggy gave them the power figure for it? He seems to be good at plucking figures out of thin air

Your figure is at the flywheel? What was the figure at the wheels though? And how did you calculate thus what it was at the fly???
-Maybe not as accurate as you think

Look ok I guess but seriously doubt it's running anywhere near 300 bhp if it's a ha22a then the late models made 215 bhp

Yes very much so hence refering to it as mid engined and comparing it to an MR2

It'll still be a fat lady garden though with a much bigger engine and all the metal work and welding and plumbing and then all that bodyfiller

Well, the engine wont be that much heavier mate, 60kg or so., i would have suggested it would be around 130kg heavier in total, thats a passanger and a little bit of luggage..
