And modified cars tbh! Especially with a shifty looking driver...

On topic though, 90c sounds fine for coolant temp!?

I haven't been pulled either, even when I am a bout in the rover, they didn't even bat an eye lid.
I did think I was going to get wrong for something, when I pulled out side my door, and they pulled in behind me! but they were paying a visit to a woman two doors down.

Quick time lapse video of refitment of me booster!

Wanted to strip and inspect to see how she was after the RR run and the headlifting etc.

Very pleased to report she is birlliant. No oil seaping out anywhere like the last unit. So gave it a polish up and a clean! Also permitted access to repair the oil return line which just keeps falling apart. New hose on order, but just need to get to Friday for the head off day!

It doesnt HAVE to but for the sake of TWO bolts...my goodness it makes life easier!!The top timing cover takes about 15min of fiddling to get off with the MC in place. Took 15seconds with the MC out. Plus it means I can get to the last headbolt a LOT easier and lift the head off easier too.

Best thing I learnt from my foreman....if you can make the job easier and simpler by spending 2min removing a part...DO IT!

Elring. May end up having to use a payen though.
No skim. Haters guna spout but its only a head lift issue. Taken advice that she wont need it but i may still get it checked. £140 for a skim I dont need would irritate me, slighty!!

No point in skimming a head if it's true. I've never understood people who skim them regardless when the majority of the time, you can just take it to an engine shop and they will check it with a straight edge for free. Or you can do it your self if you have a straight edge.

		Get it skimmed FFS
I can see where you're coming from Niall but I'm part of getting it skimmed regardless.

If it's apart just get it done in my eyes, better doing the job once not twice

Thats the only reason i can see to do it (unless of course its warped) but even with most corrosion, you can clean it up with a oil stone.
