		Doing a service ahead of the RR...every little counts
Anyway, I do 5k miles intervals and I am doing it 1k early...
So my air filter has done 4k miles.

So you would imagine it isnt that dirty??.....

[attachment=19644]

Thats from turning it up side down and giving it a good few taps on the worktop!

And this is after 2mins soaking in hot water and washing powder...

		It doesn't surprise me. I just need to see how much duller the colour of mine has gone in the 1.5k miles since it was fitted
That said if all that dirt came from inside it, you need a decent filter!

		Its a BMC so I think its pretty decent tbh
Amazing really as its tucked in behind the headlight, I have plans to improve cold air flow to it which would increase dirt flow!!

		Over 10k being de-filtered now, I tend to just take it slowly near puddles on the drivers side

		Isnt that what the turbo compressor is for? Munching big objects into engine consumable sized ones?

Seeing as the turbos are generally hidden behind the engine, I reckon they probably get less shit near them than a filter near the front where all the air comes in.
