Hi.

Ive had a search on the forum but cant really find an answer to my question..

Could somebody please tell me exactly how to measure a head to tell if its ok for a re-skim? and also what the measurement of a standard head is?

Pictures would be brilliant..

oh god i cant remmeber the details now. Its not much! If they have to take the valves out to skim it then its too much! There are two markers one at each end of the head. If there is a decent amount left in those then it should be fine.

standard head measurement is 137mm +/- 0.05. minimum height is 136.8mm +/- 0.05.
measured between the cam ladders and the head face
