You don't need the diff to fit a 306 box into a 205;
Pm me if you're stuck..

Better to use the 205 diff IMO as Steve can then use 205 shafts without having to worry about inner CV's.

I have a BE diff at home but I think it may be the bigger planet gear type as its from an Expert van, will check later if I remember, I do have a 205 diff but it needs planet gears.

the 205 shafts matched with a 306 box never caused any issues for me? What worry is there with the inner CVs?

the larger diff from the Turbo gearbox doesn't allow full engagement of the shaft, meaning the LH shaft is compressed that bit more and the seal can also leak.

Is the td 205 box/diff higher ratio than the NA diesel

Thought so. When I drove the other one back from yours it wanted to be in a lower gear all the time

Just bang the one in from the green one into yours. Along with the cooling system. As your ones a bit ropey

And engine I'll build up the other one with hdi rods mls gasket ported and polished etc then whach a vnt and my Bosch on afer i blow up my current one with a td04
