Yep, I've gone and bought a cabby. It's a 2.0 16v, its not that fast, nor is it boosted but the roof works and it's ORANGE!!!
![[Image: 12725889103_fa3891050c.jpg]](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7430/12725889103_fa3891050c.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr

I started by taking the cyclones off and fitting steels, then bigger ones on the front because the brakes were so broken I had to upgrade to the GTi-6 ones that were happily sitting in the garage ![[Image: 12725716915_156f8d7348.jpg]](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7397/12725716915_156f8d7348.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr
![[Image: 12725608955_880eaa93cf.jpg]](https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3833/12725608955_880eaa93cf.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr

Then a nice big cone filter for noisezsz!
![[Image: 12725618865_00c24d66bc.jpg]](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7341/12725618865_00c24d66bc.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr

And for more loudnessvolumes, I took off some of the exhaust, then a bit more. So now it's got a decat, midbox, straight through peco backbox ![[Image: 12726188844_46195e561d.jpg]](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7460/12726188844_46195e561d.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr
![[Image: 12725882293_a39ce95dcf.jpg]](https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3810/12725882293_a39ce95dcf.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr

It will be made low, and wide, and will be driven everywhere with the roof down.
![[Image: 12725616375_2de7f3e181.jpg]](https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2859/12725616375_2de7f3e181.jpg) Untitled by Jonny_Moore91 , on Flickr
And if (when) I inevitably blow it up, I'll either scrap it or fit the correctly fueled engine.

I require tyres for the winwheels first so that's not happening until payday
So until then I'll just get the estate engine sorted, but if you want help with your shiny bits then you know where to find me!

I've got one of these. Guys at work knew I had a cabriolet which was reason enough to take the piss, since seeing it they now all swear it to be salmon pink. I say I'm proud of my sexuality!
Looking forward to see some pics of some rimmage on there. Hang on, using terms like that don't help my case..!

So I blew this up nearly 3 weeks ago now, fed it an ICV and it mashed the piston and head, bent valves. Tried to fix it with revs but it wouldn't have any of it.
 XUD engine conversion coming soon....

It's basically the best daily ever, up to 60mpg on a run, top down motoring, xud coal, winpipe, and it's orange
Just need to add the required amount of lowness, then I can get on with fitting the steels
