Hi all picked this little gem up a few days ago.

All ready had the bosch conversion, so happy with that. Few areas that need to be addressed.

Not to bad but could be better. Lucky I have a cherry dt for spares.
Few bits I took off the cherry dt
[attachment=13944]
New boot and drivers door.
[attachment=13945]
Nice straight through exhaust centre.
[attachment=13946]
New plug for the driver door.
I will be making a list on what else she needs, but I have 80% of what could be needed. Will update tomorrow with my findings
[attachment=13947]
Found these on the cherry dt, Very unexpected find! 283s with very good discs and pads. I will have to dig out my gti master cylinder Hoping on finding some 15s to fit them behind :0

Looks nice, everything pictured is just a case of swapping a good bit on to fix so shouldn't be too bad!
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

Looks good.
So come on now the HDI has gone - what was really wrong with it to make you want to shift it so quickly? :p

Mainly two things.
It wasn't a phase 1, and had the wrong engine

Yeah there 15s, with 50 profile tyres. I wouldn't mind 17s but the tyres cost more! Plus it is every easy to hit the alloy .

Yeah they was off a ford, The bore size is only just off, so hopefuly wouldn't take to long to sort that out. They come with 20mm spacers for the rear. but there not going to fit if the alloy didn't .

That would be the first unexpected cost to the project then! I doubt it will be the last. Ill get one off the alloys bores done tomorrow and post up my finding.

Dont start grinding away at the bore mate...
Check offset first, then if spacers are needed get proper hubcentric ones

There only around 1mile that needs to come off, its that close. Ive looked at the alloy and there a small lip on the bore before it hits the alloy, Worse case ill send it in to see if it can be done.
NOt long sold my hubcentric spacers! I need to stop selling things, as I always need them back

Just saying that it would be a bit of a bodge...plus then they wouldnt fit so well on hubcentrics if you did need them!

Being Ford fitment surely you will need 20mm spacers and then you get get the right heliocentric ones for the job instead of bodgeing it

Does cat c not just mean the car was written off because it was an uneconomical repair? No reason why it cant be put back on the road provided all repairs were carried out.
