Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) Stopped Cat flaming C - underground375 - 01-03-2014 Hi all picked this little gem up a few days ago. [attachment=13936] [attachment=13937] [attachment=13938] All ready had the bosch conversion, so happy with that. Few areas that need to be addressed. [attachment=13939] [attachment=13940] [attachment=13941] [attachment=13942] [attachment=13943] Not to bad but could be better. Lucky I have a cherry dt for spares. Few bits I took off the cherry dt [attachment=13944] New boot and drivers door. [attachment=13945] Nice straight through exhaust centre. [attachment=13946] New plug for the driver door. I will be making a list on what else she needs, but I have 80% of what could be needed. ![]() ![]() [attachment=13947] Found these on the cherry dt, Very unexpected find! 283s with very good discs and pads. I will have to dig out my gti master cylinder ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - RetroPug - 02-03-2014 Looks nice, everything pictured is just a case of swapping a good bit on to fix so shouldn't be too bad! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - 1616six - 02-03-2014 Looks good. So come on now the HDI has gone - what was really wrong with it to make you want to shift it so quickly? :p RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Tom - 03-03-2014 Its a crime to spray over sigma!! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 03-03-2014 Its a crime to leave it in sigma looking at the body work ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Piggy - 03-03-2014 Fresh sigma with a hint of something added would be epic. Dont think cherry red suits ph1...but love it in ph2/3 guise ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 03-03-2014 This is a image im going for with her. [attachment=14009] What made me want the cherry ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 05-03-2014 Well ive changed my mind on what I want to do with her, [attachment=14061] I think that's much better, Rides nice on the stealth's, So I went and got me some. [attachment=14062] Also got some sigma wing mirror covers coming in the post. ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Been looking a set for mines but can only find 15s, will look well buried on them! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - 7057sam - 06-03-2014 (06-03-2014, 01:53 PM)E_KEL95 Wrote: Them stealths 17s? Yeah there 15s, with 50 profile tyres. I wouldn't mind 17s but the tyres cost more! Plus it is every easy to hit the alloy . RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 08-03-2014 Been out spending again Ph1 gti interior with rear door cards, Need to find me some ph1 black cloth cards now. [attachment=14193] [attachment=14194] [attachment=14195] Need to fix the driver side sub frame. And look what come in the post today ![]() [attachment=14196] Great tyres an din very good condition, Only problem is the bore size is wrong, so another thing to sort out tomorrow. Also picked up a new rear bumper. A gti anti role bar. A good set of ph1 fogs. update soon ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Piggy - 08-03-2014 if the bore size is wrong...do you need spacers too?! I assume they are ford fitment/ sounds like a nice collection of bits and jobs to do tomorrow!! everyone is busy this weekend! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 08-03-2014 Yeah they was off a ford, The bore size is only just off, so hopefuly wouldn't take to long to sort that out. They come with 20mm spacers for the rear. but there not going to fit if the alloy didn't . RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Piggy - 08-03-2014 You will probably need that same size spacer for the front buddy... ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 08-03-2014 That would be the first unexpected cost to the project then! I doubt it will be the last. Ill get one off the alloys bores done tomorrow and post up my finding. RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Piggy - 08-03-2014 Dont start grinding away at the bore mate... Check offset first, then if spacers are needed get proper hubcentric ones RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - underground375 - 08-03-2014 There only around 1mile that needs to come off, its that close. Ive looked at the alloy and there a small lip on the bore before it hits the alloy, Worse case ill send it in to see if it can be done. NOt long sold my hubcentric spacers! I need to stop selling things, as I always need them back ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Piggy - 08-03-2014 Just saying that it would be a bit of a bodge...plus then they wouldnt fit so well on hubcentrics if you did need them! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) - Chris_90 - 09-03-2014 Being Ford fitment surely you will need 20mm spacers and then you get get the right heliocentric ones for the job instead of bodgeing it ![]() RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) Stopped Cat flaming C - underground375 - 11-03-2014 Well got the log book today thing was written off back in 2008, so buy buy sigma. Will be sold to the old man with some of the parts I got for it. Or broken down! Moving onto something else now !! Big disappointment!!!!! RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) Stopped Cat flaming C - 7057sam - 11-03-2014 What a fucker where you ever hold by the prevous owner?I guess a hpi check would of shorn that.Having said that i would never bother with that for a 306. Really bad luck.ideas on new car ? RE: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) Stopped Cat flaming C - underground375 - 11-03-2014 Well the chap I got it off had it for a day off his mate! So I guess he didn't no nuffin about it. Shame really but what ever way it gos I wouldn't be loosing money. but on the other hand im more gutted then anything ![]() Moving away from the 306 for a while I need a brake from them! Looking on a Ax gt a mrk3 fiesta Xr2 or Rs, Or a 205 1.9 gti or stdt. Re: Sigma ph1 dt. Project respray :) Stopped Cat flaming C - anto - 11-03-2014 Does cat c not just mean the car was written off because it was an uneconomical repair? No reason why it cant be put back on the road provided all repairs were carried out. |
