Is it possible to convert a 9mm pump to an 11mm? If so what needs to be done? And can anyone on here do the work? (I know you clever boys can) It should just be the head that needs work yes? If so I could post it out. I have a spare pump and would like to see what difference 11mm makes. I have a T25 hybrid turbo on and fancy a bit more power.
 Cheers. PC.

I know him. He did swap my pump, and turbo swap, that was me asking him to do this aswell.

If you need the car, get someone else to do it.
Nothing more frustrating than putting a pump all back on the car and it just not firing up due to a heap of issues with the pump internals.
Not to discourage, its simple with it off the car but takes time if you've never done it before, and can waste alot of time to find out its not right.

But, if you have a spare lucas, get the tools out my friend

^^ exactly. For a few quid I stay out of the wife's car, sell one of my 9mm's and get a hike in power. I'm sure my new turbo needs extra guts to get the best out of it. I'm going to loomsys t'mo just on the off chance but ill prob wait till I see one on here.

Tis dead handy, grab a seal kit and a 414 pump. Gov mod it too while the head is being changed. Use your own delivery valves. Or some Teranno ones if you can find a set I think they're a 10mm head too....

I'll throw up pics if you want

Think it gets chatted about but not in its own thread.

Essentially, for me, it gives a more sensitive throttle and response and makes 100% throttle something that isnt needed quite so often. Also requires a lighter touch as 20/30% too much and you just coal everyone constantly..but match it with a good turbo and control it well and my word its good.I know thats all very basic terms but its a starting point.

12mm is a different kettle of fish, most have a different spill port location, you then need modified levers, but even that's a whore to set up...

11mm is more than enough for big turbos imo, don't know what the fuss is about smoke, as most people have said, control it with your right foot, easy peasy.

9mm if you want up to 150ish bhp, 10mm will give a bit more, 11m a bit more again

no reason not to, for the extra midrange oomph and torque

and you'll find the ability to coal people who tailgate, extremely useful
