What bit is controlled exactly

Yeah the advance is controlled by the ecu. You can drive without the ecu but it will be horrendous, stuck in full advance. You can still shim the timing piston though

Yeah I smashed one of these up, the leverset, lda, gov cradle, plunger and associated gubbins can all be used, just the whole thing itself that is useless due to the stupid mechanism.
