Heat Sensitive Paint - Pretty Cool

this isnt as 'cool' as I first thought. Its not heat sensitive. Its cold sensitive.
So above 18degrees ish it stays the normal colour...its when the top coat is cooler than the base coat that it changes.

I would want it to be other way round personally. so when it heats up it changes to the black

Black cars hold the heat well though, so black when cold is the better way imo.

A girl in the comments section rightly points out that the bonnet would have a 'splodge' on it from the engine heat. In other words, even with the rest of the car black, it'll look shit.

It's 'cool' if you're 9 years old I guess.

no the bonnet would only have a splodge on it if the rest of the rest of bodywork had cooled right down to black

its NOT reactive to heat...it reacts to cold

Have a proper look into.it then
Its called thermochromic paint and it can be activated to suit

Some are black then when warmed it will go clear, a different colour or pattern it

I do think it would be cool and useful too if it react when the paint went over a certain temp...show where the heat was escaping on ya car...and I'm sure thats why certain racing teams want some of it!

I dont see much use of it when it only reacts when it cools down
