Thought I'd make one, even with the knowledge it will become a thread of Nazi related banter !
I'll first introduce you to my last one, a Polo 1.4 8v 'stanced'
 ![[Image: shopped-1.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/shopped-1.jpg)
Was about 68bhp IIRC, slow as hell, Low as f*ck, banded steelies that sat too far out the arch with an insulting amount of camber.

SO I got over that phaze and moved on !

When I got the GTI it had stickers everywhere, red badges and all kinds of halfords tat.

I cleaned it up to a more respectable level..
 ![[Image: upldsze1.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/upldsze1.jpg)
Stayed like this for as long as it took for the coilovers to arrive..
 ![[Image: 7cdf92d0d10911e1871d22000a1e8692_7.jpg]](http://distilleryimage6.ak.instagram.com/7cdf92d0d10911e1871d22000a1e8692_7.jpg)
I adjusted them down to the near lowest point, which was as you can see far too low. I cought on cats eyes on the road..

Eventually after some wheel debating I got some Ronal Turbos.
 ![[Image: IMG_9603.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/IMG_9603.jpg)
had 195 45 15 tyres on so they scrubbed in the arches being 7j and less than 40 offset

Ended up keeping these for a while before selling them for some banded steelies..
 ![[Image: IMG_0688.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/IMG_0688.jpg) ![[Image: IMG_0700.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/IMG_0700.jpg)
They lasted all of a week..
 ![[Image: 264615_3484991409853_2068574811_n.jpg]](http://sphotos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/264615_3484991409853_2068574811_n.jpg)
Got the turbos back on and painted them body colour
 ![[Image: IMG_1096.jpg]](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/kieranskool/IMG_1096.jpg)
This time they had 175 50 15 tyres on to remove the scrubbing in the arches.

Then it was just a process of cleaning the car up through paintwork jobs, removing the bonnet bra:
 ![[Image: VR4n3.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/VR4n3.jpg)
To where we are today:
 ![[Image: VMPuLL1.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/VMPuLL1.jpg)
Now however, I love the look of the car, but I want it a bit more 'racecar'

It's quick enough for me (student) does 40mpg on a good day 1.6 16v 125bhp
Now all I want to do is make it better in the twisties as I plan to take it on the track a lot more in the near future.

Firstly I ordered a strut brace.. Didn't fit my model car

Now I'm thinking some lighter wheels with wider tyres..

One idea that I've been playing with for a while is the generic, overdone and I don't give a shit Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2s

Photoshop:
 ![[Image: MI3vejT.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/MI3vejT.jpg)
The reason I'd be getting new wheels is A. lightness and B. Offset, just in case you don't know, the offset of the wheel dictates it's position within the arch, my Ronal Turbo wheels have a low offset number meaning they sit more in line with the arch, and therefore the tyres have to be more narrow to be able to get under without scrubbing. I need a narrower wheel, with a higher offset number to allow more room for tyre choice.

195 45 15 is the OEM tyre size and I want it back

		Beuat.
One of the guys at work has one with an AGU 20VT in it, great little thing.

Speaking of which... I've got a spare, bare 20VT block that'd fit yours...

Aha, mental.

A car this small and light doesn't need a 20VT Imo, just a tweak on the original engine would be fine..

I couldn't afford to buy / fit / insure or fuel that sort of thing, but thanks anyway aha

Nope, not the foggiest idea what this means

Saw something similar actually, a 5v Turbo at Edition 38.
 ![[Image: kgPpfFd.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/kgPpfFd.jpg)
If I was to do anything like this, it would be working on the original block, I think the 1.6 is plenty, with some TBs it would be perfect. Any more power and I'd want it to be RWD. I don't like the idea of a straight line FWD car, I would rather spend the money on a RWD car that I could use all that power to it's full use.

Hmm, I kinda like these shape Polo's......shame about the inside though, really dated and low specced - unless you've modded yours anyway. The wheels aren't my cuppa tea but overall it does look good.
I very nearly bought one last year...ended buying the 106 NAD instead lol.
