just got in the car to head up to uni, started her up, put my foot on the clutch, then, the cable snapped!! luckily i have a spare cable in my boot cuz i was going to change it anyway as it was really stiff, but now im half way through changing it, took off the airbox, the battery box, got the cable off at the gearbox end and from under the car, but now i cant pull the fecker through because peugeot in all their wisdom decided to out the brake servo on top of the hole in the bulkhead where it comes trough!and on top of that, a weekend or two ago i changed pretty much everything possible on the front of my car [suspension wise, 'bones, droplinks, bushes, TREs] and there is still a knock from the front! its unreal the amount of money ive spent in the past month on her, more expensive than having a girlfriend!

Clutch cable aint too bad once you've done one. Just need to know where to move it and what to use a crowbar on lol. If you haven't done it by the weekend I could give ya a hand.

Little tip, hook it onto the pedal first, then the gearbox, much easier that way

yep, the few times i've been to ecp they've given me the wrong part. thankfully, i used to live round the corner from a gsf, so when i was getting the car back on the road, changing the engine over and whatnot, i was in there twice a day for about a month! means i get trade now, first name basis yo!

I dont see how you dont have enough slack? If the other end isn't connected to the gearbox, then hooking it over the pedal should be easy enough

its the auto adjuster thing, we had to balance out pulling the pedal end and then the clutch end and then pull and release to get it to extend... easier to do than type out...
maybe its brokeded...

		mmmm electrics.... fun fun fun!
i've just hiked to gsf, [no longer round the corner, but millions of miles away wen you dont have a car] and it turns out the cable i had didnt have a thing to stop the self adjuster from self adjusting... and then the one they had on the shelf, had one, which promptly fell apart as soon as i picked it up to look at it... made of some sort of extra mature it would seem...

But it was so nice to drive...even with a stiff clutch a vacuum leak and squeaky brakes.
Seriously though, I know I moan about stuff......but I really did like that car a lot!

haha, you can listen to me moan instead!not go it fixed, but, i did find out i was trying to put the cable onto the wrong part of the pedal, n00b mistake i know, however, now the auto adjust mech has jammed AGAIN. so i levered the cable onto the fork, with the clutch sitting about the biting point.
 ARGH.

Are you sure the plastic grommet is in the hole under the servo properly? You can adjust the adjuster your self. It's a bit tricky but if you have a feel around of the rubber boot on the adjuster, you will feel the catch. Push it and it should open up. Then once it's all fitted roperly, give the clutch pedal a few really good hard stamps to adjust it.

yep thats deffo in properlyhad a fiddle with it like you suggested, couldn't get it to do anything tho.
im gunna take it all off the car tomorrow and somehow bodge it to hold the adjuster together while i put it on and then hopefully that should sort it.

Haha get out there! I was going to go and fit my quickshift but don't have a spare gear stick to butcher.
Have you got it all clipped in place? Take it all out except for the bit under the servo and give the white clip a good tug. It seems odd because the cable can't be too short. Are you sure your clipping jt on the right bit of the pedal? I had a bit of trouble with my big hands lol
