before you read any more, I'll tell you this car is AWESOME!! Possibly the best in the world and you should buy it!

I've owned this car for coming on a year now and has a lot of time and money spent in my ownership, sadly now I've got myself a 4x4 so the 306 has to go.

you should buy this car .....

The car as 4 good tyres with plenty of life left, cd player, 6x9 in strengthened parcel shelf, components up front, team heko wind deflectors.

Since owning I have replaced the following;

owning a gti is the most fun in the world ....

meyle hd wish bones/P bushes/ front round bushes + ball joints ( these are uprated stiffer over standard but not as harsh as polybushs )
drop links
track rod ends
both front wheel bearings
all discs and pads
brake pipes
fully serviced when I bought it, new plugs, coil packs, oil, gearbox oil, filters (oil + air) and oil regularly throughout ownership.
both door cards
Uprated and lightly lowered front shocks
both window motors
heater blowers.
front and rear badges replaced
Power steering pipes - all genuine

This is a really solid little car and very recently had cam belt done (christmas) and not sop distant past had a full head rebuilt, it went through its mot with just 1 advisory ( a handbrake cable was slightly rubbed, which has since been replaced ) and now comes with 8 months mot and 1 months tax. and a shed loads of receipts rom mine and past ownership

Been in this a couple of times, really is a nice car in good shape, and it doesn't tap either, sounds awesome. I'd have it if I could afford a '6 on my commute.

Has the raccoon filter been done?

This one has been fitted with Cornish style badger filter, way more hardy than raccoon filter

lol yup 0 miler, lower than your 6

nah its on a few 159k but it has only just had the cam belt done and a full head rebuilt around 3 years ago after the cam belt snapped. The engine is really sweet and with all rebush that I've done last year you would have thought it had done a lot less.

Worst bit is, in a few months their probably gonna put double yellow lines down all round my work so I'll have to get the bus, I'd have it off you then because if I'm only driving evenings and weekends there's no point having a diesel. I'd have it when I come down but it's not definite yet, the company is appealing on behalf of staff...
