Quite the reverse. If you multiply the surface area of one end of a hydraulic circuit, you have to multiply the force applied at the other end by the same number. Hence why if you have a dt and upgrade to gti6 calipers without the master cylinder you have to push the pedal harder and it travels further....

Thx guys

Ive went to the breakers today and bought me a fuseepiece of a 306, tomorrow a friend of mine will come to collect the fuseepiece + old 330mm disc and a caliper, he will be making the adapter brackets to fit them!
this is the easiest way without having to crawl under the car everytime....

cant wait!

Everytime i walk into the barn i shit myself how big they are, lol!

Considering my GTi6 brakes will happily hold my tyres on the edge.of traction at 90mph, it wont stop any faster unless you significantly increase weight and or tyre width...

Remember a Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged will do the same 0-60 time as a Focus ST... But HALF the 60-0 time... That's all down to weight and increased tyre contact patch.

I was wondering how he is going to
1) get heat into the brakes
2) keep heat in the brakes!

You wouldnt have to push the pedal harder...it would be easier, just more travel...just like a lever, longer you make it easier it is, but more it moves.. smaller master cylinder just means more control, unless its to small in which case its just damn annoying, but certainly wouldnt get harder to push with more pots / bigger caliper pistons....
