Well after a little more driving it seems to be a fan relay issue. If you drive slow/stop the temp gets up to 90* then both lights come on. The fan relay goes mental but the fan dosnt come on. It just seems to heat up quickly 2-3 mins of sitting still or driving through town at 20-30 mph it will just sit at 90 with both lights on but dosnt go any higher. System has been bleed a couple times. But still does it. But asoon as your crousin above 50 it instantly goes out. Must be a dodgy sensor or sumin

Ah right. It sounds different to mine though. As mine is usally on from the start. Does the gti6 have twin fans?
